I paid for services they did not honor per their agreement. This club does not value customer service, in any capacity. The first class I took with the lead instructor was not great. I being a beginner needed some guidance and the instructor was not helpful in any capacity. When I requested help, I got an eye roll & I was made to feel like I was a nuisance. Moving forward to booking additional classes as time progressed every class I attempted to book was always full . Granted it is a smaller studio and the parking is also very limiting which is also discouraging. After working out at other studios and gyms that they are much more accommodating and helpful then Club Pilates. Club Pilates in San Marcos is not worth the money at $30 a class. I also get a much better workout at other studios and gyms that are less. I asked to get a refund on the remainder of my class package I purchased and was told to go to other locations that are not convenient for me.

He began yelling at me over the phone. He was so disrespectful and aggressive I don't feel comfortable being in his presence. He also illegally charged my card. He also responded to this review with a lengthy email telling me I'm tremendously out of shape, amongst other things. Great way to body shame someone trying to get into shape. I made the mistake of inquiring about the "free" 4week booty challenge I saw on Facebook. You can pay $300 for the challenge or $400. With $400, if you lose a certain percentage of your body fat you get all your money back, if you don't you get $200 credit to roll into another program. I've belonged to gyms before but I'm unmotivated to go. I hate wasting money so I figured this challenge would help. You also can't miss any of the classes. I met with Coach Vishal 3/6 to sign up and pay $350, I had already left a $50 deposit. My training sessions were MWF for 1 hour. 3/9 I worked out with him and he told us after he would be out for surgery (why wouldn't you inform new clients of this so they could make the decision to sign up later). So, that Wednesday and Friday he had a substitute. During that week the whole Covid 19 happened. I contacted him 3/16 about my concerns because my roommates were super paranoid about the whole thing and didn't think the gym was safe, since they had started closing down places. He told me as a courtesy he could give me a credit for 9 sessions but he can't force me to workout. I said that's fine. I'll contact you in a couple weeks when this thing dies down (unbeknownst to me). That same week some gyms chose to be proactive and close but by 3/18 they were mandated, including The Gym. (You have to pay $40 for one month to join the gym to do the Pumpz challenge) Vishal did not reach out to any of his students. 3/24 I contacted him. I wanted to know about the challenge. He replied but didn't answer my question. On 3/27 he sent out a link to a free home workout, in case we didn't feel comfortable going to the gym (impossible since it's closed). 3/27 So since he had time to send messages, but couldn't reply to me, I contacted my bank to file a dispute because Vishal could no longer provide the services seeing as the gym was closed. None of us know when the stay home order will be lifted and it's unfair for him to keep all of my money. Anything could happen, he could go out of business, I could move die anything! So my bank withdrew the payment and gave me a temporary credit. Coach Vishal chose to simply charge my card again on 4/8. I called my cc company and they thought possibly I was set up for reoccurring payment. No I signed up for a one time 4 week challenge, meeting 3 times weekly MWF. Classes commenced 3/9 and set to end 4/3. So I disputed that charge too. Well 4/21 I received a phone call from Vishal. He said there's a problem with your payment. I said yes I disputed it after you didn't respond. He said I don't have time to respond to everybody. (But he's posting on fb about how bored he is and what else do you have to do, you can't work! ) I said well I'll be happy to pay again once this is lifted and gyms open. He said no it doesn't work that way. All my time that I put in making your diet (10 minutes). I said well I'll pay you $100 for the one week I attended. He became very irate started yelling at me. I said I'm not going to have this conversation right now with you like this. He said I didn't respond to the first notice (from my cc company) but I'll respond to the new one. I said you also illegally charged my card after they withdrew the payment. I ended up saying do what you have to do and hung up because how can you converse with someone that's arguing, yelling, and unreasonable. Vishal's behavior shows that he's a poor business man and doesn't respect his clients. I've read other Yelp reviews and he even called someone an idiot! I think Vishal only approaches women like this. He talks about wasting his time, but he wants to waste my money. Bottom line is do to unforeseeable circumstances he can't provide the service I signed up for during the timespan I signed up for.

Very cold, unresponsive, and clearly not interested in helping or building any customer relationship. Just negative energy from the moment you walk in. I didn't just attend the prenatal classes but also all the classes I physically felt capable of. I 100% believe the classes helped to prepare my body for labor. Yoga teaches mental and physical resilience and A Gentle Way Yoga does this. When I recommend this studio to other people I call it "old people yoga" since the main clientele is older. But I loved that! It's not a place to compete or show case your latest active wear. It's a comfortable welcoming place! I always got a great workout and felt amazing after class. I love, love, LOVE that the instructors teach the modifications for every yoga pose! Not everyone has the physicality to complete every yoga pose exactly...cough, cough...me! At other yoga studios I would be made to feel inadequate, strained, dismissed and uncomfortable when I couldn't do a movement. I think that's why a lot of people give up on yoga. At A Gentle Way yoga they teach you how to get a great yoga workout even if you have physical limitations. They don't make you feel like a failure if your body says no to a particular movement. They work with you to get the most from you body. Before you know it you are actually getting better and not needing to modify at all!

This is wonderful considering the focus on gentle / restorative / meditative yoga. My friend who is close to my menopause age was successful in reaching her goal weight through this weight loss program so I decided to try as well. I consulted with my primary care physician who gave me her blessing on starting the program. My Dr said she knew my medical insurance would not approve which is sad that you have to be obese before insurance will kick in to help you get healthy. I was able to get an appointment very quickly and was pleasantly pleased at the office and staff. The office was clean and had a nice vibe. Esmeralda at the front office and Faith, my medical consultant were both very kind, caring and I felt 100% comfortable. I started in September 2024 with low dose Semaglutide injections and worked my way up to a comfortable dosage where I had no side effects except for a lot of shedding hair which was my bad because I was not getting enough protein in my diet. Once I upped my protein, my hair started growing back and hair shedding was back to normal. It is now 9 months later and I have reached my goal of losing 25 lbs which puts me in the NORMAL BMI range. My BMI was in the OVERWEIGHT range when I began my weight loss journey nine months ago and am back to looking like myself again instead of the bloated, soft body stranger I had been seeing in the mirror for the past 3-4 years. I was also over the moon happy when I got my annual bloodwork results last week. I no longer have unhealthy fatty liver, triglycerides are back to normal range, BP is now great and though I didn't have diabetes, it does run in my family so I had A1C test done and it came back with a healthy 5.2. Anything under 6 is good. Now, I must say that the injections did require some work on my part when I started to get within 10 lbs of my goal. I was at a plateau for weeks so I upped my walking and resistance workouts. Nothing major, just 7-8k steps 4-5x per week and 10-20 minutes of resistance training 3x per week. Happy too that with the fat loss, and exercise, my arms and legs are showing some sexy definition! Woohoo! I also had to cut way down on my beloved wine because I noticed when I had a couple glasses of wine, the weight was stubborn. Anyways, I wish you all much luck should you move forward or not. But as for me, I will continue on low dosage of Semaglutide for a few more months as maintenance to make sure I stay in the healthy BMI range.
