It's got all the essentials you'd expect to find anywhere, (no kettle bells though so crossfitters stay away!) and doesn't get too crowded. So if you can, go during the day when it's a bit quieter. they also offer personal training and physiotherapy sessions, and your north van recreation membership is good at all the other community centre's in North Vancouver.

I have not yet wanted to cancel, and so have no axe to grind in that department. Otherwise, all staff is very warm and welcoming--try chatting with them you sourpusses! In Vancouver, it is not easy to find a gym with this much space, even more spacious feel because of two walls being all windows overlooking the water and mountains, and a great variety of equipment and stations to spend an hour or two. The clientele is also very agreeable--not too many muscle-heads, nor too out of shape people. A decent mix, including some not too young folks like myself. I moved 10 km away to Mt. Pleasant last year, but still deem this the best gym (including the best Club 16) I have yet visited. Kudos to the gym and staff!

There's 3 levels, upstairs cardio, main floor weights, bottom floor fitness room and lockers. I like this gym because there's a big variety of weights and it's not too packed when I go in the mornings. Also, the staff here is sooo friendly, and I'm new so I appreciate that. I…read moretake training quite seriously and was looking for a gym that was open 24 hours and had decent equipment, so this fit the bill perfectly. I came to this location for 2.5 years and loved it. Equipment was always clean, and if it was ever down, it was never down for over a week. Maintenance and cleanliness were top-notch were a gym. There were more than enough accessories such as foam rollers and workout bands, etc. as well. The staff are incredibly friendly and always greet you if you're in during their hours. There's always personal training available to you and my favorite part is that they're busy, but never ABSOLUTELY packed like other gyms have been. I've since walked into many, many Anytime Fitness locations and this one is by FAR the cleanest, best-run location I've ever seen. I would come back here in a heartbeat. I really can't complain about anything at this location! Even the clientele at this location is super respectful, which made my experience at the gym a lot more comfortable. The ONLY downfall is that it's a bit pricey, but this isn't exactly location-dependent; the entire chain charges $50~/month+.
