I couldn't be happier with the service I have and continue to receive. They answer immediately when…read moreI call and always have the answers I need. I have always been met with outstanding customer service and recommend them to everyone I know!

My experience with Robbie Casillas seemed to start off alright. His assistant, Brenda, knew the ins…read moreand outs of Quickbooks so when she saw our chart of accounts she recommended making some changes to "clean it up" and make it easier going forward. We even paid extra to have her come out to teach our office manager how to code things properly. After a couple of years some of those changes lead to some confusion that she had to "clean up" again. It seemed every year there were changes as to where our car lease deduction would go vs the loan for our work truck (we are in construction). Confusing, but that is why we hired a professional. Because it seemed we were saving money by getting the maximum deductions available I put up with Robbie's patronizing attitude. He constantly called me "Sweetheart" as if I were a little girl who doesn't understand big numbers (I have a Master's degree, btw) and although I mentioned it to him once he brushed it off like "Oh I call everyone 'sweetheart'" like that makes it okay. So last year we had a great year. It was the first post-recession boom and we did our Quickbooks the way we had always done them with the coding changes Brenda recommended each year. I made the estimated tax payments that Robbie recommended, but after looking at our QB Robbie informed us that we still owed $60,000 in taxes. Now after a couple of years running losses we had a lot of loans we were paying back so there is no way we could have still owed that much. I called Brenda to check that everything was coded properly (an extra $200). She said the QB was "so messed up" that we should hire a forensic QB bookkeeper. We did (another $500). This bookkeeper found that Brenda had miscoded our lease payments on our company car resulting in a missed deduction of $5,000, but we still owed the taxes. In the meantime we had to take an extension and pay what we thought we owed, so we took out a loan and made a payment. The interest on that loan while we were figuring this all out was $500. So I called Robbie to have him explain why there is so much income when our deposits don't show that amount of money. His response, "Sweetheart, you made a LOT of money last year. You don't have any deductions against that income so you must have spent it. You had a VERY good year, Sweetheart!" Oh, and he charged me $275 for a 45 minute phone call that left me more confused as to what was happening with our money. Then, to add insult to injury, Robbie had raised his prices significantly from the year before without telling us. How much? $100 more to do our 1099's and $500 more to do our corporate taxes. You raise your rates $600 over last year without a "heads up" to your clients? I didn't even know until I opened the bill! Unprofessional to say the least. So we asked an accountant friend for some advice. Within five minutes he asked, "Is your QB set on accrual? If it is then you must have entered signed contracts into QB for jobs you haven't started yet." BINGO! I called Brenda and asked her if we were on accrual and she said yes. I asked her how Robbie could have NOT known this. She laughed and said that Robbie doesn't know QB. He just does the accounting based on what she submits. This other guy fixed our problem in five minutes for free but Robbie couldn't fix our problem in weeks AND we are out the $1500 in his fees and the interest on our loan. Turns out we were actually due a REFUND for 2014. With the refund we paid back the loan, but we are out the interest. I asked Robbie for some sort of compensation or refund since we had been clients of his and trusted him for over five years. NOTHING. He takes no responsibility. I would avoid this company if you want to keep your money. What accountant in this day and age doesn't know how to use accrual on QB? We do high-end construction. We treat our customers with the utmost respect. The customer is always right, but apparently Robbie doesn't have this philosophy. He still does not think he did anything wrong. Sorry "Sweetheart" but you are very unprofessional and VERY wrong!
