To me a lot of jewellers offer the same thing; good service and great products that are sometimes expensive. Cheshire Jewellers go the extra mile by offering a polite customer service, free packaging, fourteen day return, valuation and shipping within five to ten working days. It's clear from the way the staff talk about the items and care for them that they have an extensive history as a jewellers. The jewellery sets come as a whole set (including posh necklace, earrings, and bangles) or you can just purchase the one off items. They've had a nice refurb since my last visit, and the place looks a lot nicer. Always haggle a little in here, as you can usually get a discount. A great shop, and good customer service considering that they have a lot of competition on this busy shopping road. If you do plan on spending some time here, then best park round the corner by the S N D Supermarket, as the road and side roads are too busy.

The phrase "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" came to mind when I saw the divine collections. I would have been tempted to buy something if I had the money; especially as I particularly liked their rings. I was very casually dressed and some of the staff gave a judgemental and uncomfortable look. On the other hand some of the staff were quiet welcoming and friendly. From the way the staff were talking about the products I could see they have an extensive knowledge of all the materials as they fully answered all questions and helped customers chose the right piece. I have to say that the friendlier staff were more helpful to me because of their kind attitude. The only other negative thing I have to say is that the jewellers is quiet small and could probably fit in about five people maximum. Other than that this is a great place to buy top quality jewellery for a decent price.

Not really a place to come to buy something special, but if you just want to pick something up for yourself or a small present then it's not a bad place. It's quite good for stud earrings, you can pick up a pair of gold studs for under a fiver. Staff are pretty helpful.

They have an amazing selection of mainly women's silver jewellery, from costume to classy and everything in-between. The lady behind the counter was extremely helpful when I explained that I was looking for a pair of silver hoops. She rummaged through pretty much all her stock that might contain said item but to no avail. That's when she, and the chap currently working on a piece right there and then, explained how the little shop come factory works. They will attempt to source any item you are looking for with a good enough replica, picture or description. Failing that they will just make up from scratch what you are looking for. For me this is a perfect service as what I am often looking for doesn't seem to exist. So, I'll be popping back in with the nearly right hoops I have already and a handful of adjectives. They also undertake jewellery repairs and aim for a day's turn around on all work undertaken.

Soon as I walked in, I realised half of the products were on display in the window. They also accept cash for gold and silver; a bit like a pawnbroker. It's a traditional jewellers shop, rather than the jeweller/pawn brokers which seems to be the norm now. They will buy in unwanted gold and jewellery but they do not offer any kind of cash loan service, I've sold to them once or twice and got a fair price for the scrap gold I had - more than if I'd left all the broken chains and odd earrings sitting in my jewellery box! This is a popular jewellers so if you see something in the window or display case that you really want then I suggest you buy it or leave a deposit as they have a high turnover and tend to have completely different items by the following week. Even if I'm not planning on buying anything I will always have a look in the window because their more unusual pieces are displayed here and sometimes I'll see a pair of earrings or bracelet that I 'just have to have'! Everything is clearly labelled so the price can be seen from outside, this is great because I can see at a glance whether I can afford is as there is nothing worse than having to go in to ask the cost only to find that you can't afford it after all! Once inside the shop has a calm, quiet feel like any good jewellers shop. The glass display cabinets are sparkling clean and show the jewellery and gifts inside off beautifully. There always seems to be a lot of necklaces and link bracelets for sale inside the shop, as well as gold charms and pendants. I think the prices are extremely reasonable, obviously there are the more expensive pieces but you should be able to find something nice within your budget. Nightingales also sell a range of clocks and gifts including those gorgeous hologram pendants featuring a photograph you provide. I also like their crystal ornaments and have bought several as presents over the years - of course I also bought the Zippo from years ago which my friend still has and was beautifully engraved with her name. The staff in Nightingales are excellent, they never seem to rush you and are content to let you browse for as long as you need. I always get the impression that they want me to make the right purchase decision and not the most expensive option. This is great because sometimes in jewellers shop I get the feeling I am being nudged into the most expensive item, but not in here.

I also think the name isn't catch enough, especially for the variety of products sold inside. Throughout the store, you'll find many spiritualist gifts such as precious stones, necklaces, tarot cards amongst crystals, fairy models and other gothic items too. You'd never expect a jewellery shop with such a standard name and fascia to be selling these items; so if you do consider yourself a bit of a spiritualist, and if you're in the Northfield area, it is definitely worth checking out! There's also standard jewellery sold in here (which I'm not really that knowledgeable about), but i'm sure girls would benefit from mooching around at some unique items, that I've never really noticed in chain stores. The shop also does jewellery alterations as well.
