The work involved replacing the entire roof plus some structural repairs, and re-plastering and re-painting two rooms. Tim came over promptly, explained the repair processes and options thoroughly, and spoke with the insurance adjuster. The work the company did on the house has held up well, and the re-plastered rooms look beautiful. His crew were friendly and professional, moved all our furniture, and left the house clean. The reason for my 3-star rating is poor follow-up. At some point during the process of re-plastering and painting, a large overhead light globe disappeared, presumably broken. This was not a problem - accidents happen - but it became one, because after months of countless assurances that he would send someone over with the new globe "by the end of this week," "next week," "on Monday," "ASAP," etc., Tim did not replace the globe. In addition to this, Tim's crew had replaced a storm-damaged metal shed roof. When the shed roof started leaking, he assured me over and over that he would send someone to look at it - again specifying times like "this Thursday," or "no later than the end of this week" - but, again, he did not follow through. Simply doing what you say you are going to do is pretty basic to good business. I think these guys do good work, but just be aware. It was disappointing to have what promised to be a positive experience marred by months of frustration.

5 Stars - Honest, Skilled, and Great to Work With…read more I hired Perez Painting Pro Renovation for several major home improvement projects, including building a custom indoor Finnish cedar sauna, remodeling a bathroom, repairing extensive wood rot (new studs, wallboard, windows, and siding), replacing decking, and painting. It was a big job with a lot of moving parts, and choosing the Perez brothers turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. I originally chose them because their quote was fair, but what really sold me was Santos himself. He was honest, straightforward, and gave me confidence that his team could handle everything--from carpentry and electrical to plumbing--without me having to juggle multiple contractors, even for the custom sauna. I knew I was dealing with someone I could trust during our first meeting. Santos noticed that my under-cabinet kitchen lights weren't working and showed me how to fix them with a $30 part from Amazon and about 20 minutes of work. Another contractor had quoted me $1,800 to replace the entire system. That one conversation told me a lot about his character. Another thing I appreciated was that Santos, his brothers, and their crew are the ones who actually do the work. They aren't just selling the job and handing it off to subcontractors. They take pride in what they do, and it shows. Once the project started, they showed up early every morning, worked hard all day, cleaned up before leaving, and often stayed into the evening to keep things moving. Communication was always good, and if I had a question or wanted to change something, Santos was easy to reach and happy to talk it through. The quality of the work was excellent across the board, but the sauna is definitely the highlight. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are incredible, and it's become our family's favorite room in the house. We use it almost every day. Spiders Tree Care Service was initially recommended to me by a neighbor, who was very happy with…read morethe job they did removing over a dozen large trees. I also received several other tree service company suggestions. So, when I needed 3 pines removed from the backyard, I included Spiders among those I contacted regarding the project. After getting 5 estimates, I went with Spiders primarily because of: 1) their excellent references; 2) great reviews on Yelp and elsewhere; as well as 3) their reasonable pricing and comprehensive proposal (some of the other companies would not do stump grinding themselves and I find it a lot easier to deal with one company on any project). The job Spiders did was outstanding. They came in when scheduled and went right to work. Their crew was clearly very experienced and deftly handled the tricky job of carefully removing one of the pines which was only several feet from the house and had a number of large branches overhanging the roof. (One of the guys climbed up the tree then tied up and sawed off each branch, while the other was pulling it off on a rope.) Better yet, they were extremely fast and efficient, cutting up and chipping the debris just as others were taking them down piece-by-piece. The entire job took 1.5 hours from when they pulled up to when they left, which reduced the noise and disturbance time. They also did a thorough clean up and were kind enough to help me by removing some detritus from a previously felled tree. Based on my experience, if you have any tree care issues, I cannot recommend Spiders Tree Care Service more highly!
