The spa is reminiscent of old Roman baths with its saunas and thermal pools. Everything is so peaceful. There are various saunas indoors and one outside in a garden, steam baths, etc. All of the water comes from local springs. The bathing area goes from indoor to outdoor. The indoor portion is under a domed, glass roof. You can easily swim from inside to outside. The hot springs are incredible. I have done all those is spa days but this one really allowed me to let go and not think about anything other than enjoyment. This visit was everything I'd hoped for in this spa town of Baden-Baden.

The downstairs pools are sometimes nude and sometimes not - so check which day you are coming. The saunas are always nude and coed. Nude isn't even a big deal here, so don't even think of it - no one else is. The spa offers a variety of massages and beauty treatments as well. Definitely a must do.

I visited twice during my week in Stuttgart. The first time I used both the swimming baths and sauna area (on 2nd visit, sauna was female only. Check before visiting). Sauna area is nude. Something I've never experienced before but quickly became used to it. Make sure you check the 'ausguss' timetable in the sauna area for when you can take part in the ritual of having red hot steam blasted into your face by a towel twirling attendant (more fun than it sounds). Swimming area is not nude and has a brilliant outdoor section with a small, fast flowing lazy river. I visited both Leuze and Canstatt mineral baths during my time in Stuttgart and in my opinion, Leuze has the best sauna area but Canstatt has the best and more modern swimming area. Definitely worth a visit during your time in Stuttgart and I hope I can come back one day.
