The first project was in their city, Corpus Christi, and involved painting the broken face concrete exterior of a 50,000 square foot mixed use building. The weather was so hot and so windy that the use of spray equipment was not feasible. Rather than wait for the weather to change, The Prophets proceeded to personally hand paint the entire building, right along with their crew. They also painted the inside office spaces, one without any charge whatsoever. The client was very happy, as were we. A month or so later, the same client had a similar structure needing the same work many miles away, in Beaumont. We were unable to find any company in the area with the same level of expertise as S&S, so I pleaded with them to take the job and help us out. Again, Moses and Aaron came to the rescue, and did another outstanding job, this time three and a half hours from their home. This is, by far, the best painting company I have ever been associated with. I am also pleased to be able to call Moses and Aaron very good friends after the work experiences we had together. They are not only great painters, but very good people. If you need something painted right, call The Prophets!

Sadly this company's problems lies with its very sloppy & inexperienced employees. They cut every…read morecorner they could. Said they would use hurricane clips on the decking, they put a few in obvious places, but didn't do it everywhere. Said they would replace any decking that showed signs of previous water damage, but they didn't even pull up the old felt to inspect the decking! Shingled over the original, wrinkled roofing felt, leaving obvious waves. Many of the decking boards should have been replaced due to getting wet previously and are now swelling and covered in mold. They were supposed to strengthen the rafters in the attic due to changing the roof design from a hip style to a gable roof front. See photos for how poorly it was done. In less than 3 months, the shingles were cracking and dried out. The roof isn't sufficiently supported and has lines where it is sagging and caving in. Randy came out to look at it and said, "Well, its too late to do anything about that now." There are rafters spliced together with one nail holding it together. They didn't put the house wrap on correctly around the dormers (which were also very poorly constructed) and it leaked, causing mold to grow all over the ceiling. Based on my experience, I would never recommend Randy's Roofing for ANY job whatsoever.

I booked Titan through Yelp. Dawn and I have been looking for years for someone that can do good,…read moresolid home repair and remodel abilities in Corpus. Just as that pursuit seemed in vain, we found Titan Construction & Painting owned by Pete Gonzalez (you can book through Facebook, Google, Yelp or call at 361-673-6392). Dawn hired them to repaint the doors in our hall because the paint she had applied was peeling off and I had found that our laundry room subfloor was rotting due to a water leak in the room. The work has been PHENOMENAL. Pete and his crew all wear masks and are professional and courteous, and more impressive is the work that has been done. Pete pointed out to us that to new hall doors were cheap (cheaper than to strip and prep our existing doors) and might look better. I think they look SO much better and are more sound proof. His painting and hanging was perfect (no sticking, perfect fit). Plus, he also recommended getting new hinges that didn't have dried paint, etc. on them. He was right and the look is really clean. Last thing he did was replace the light fixtures. Every time I walk back to the bedroom, I am getting blown away by how much I love the hall now. Pictures are included (the door pic is a before and after; the hinges pic is a before and after). Before he did the laundry room it was NOT attractive and Dawn Eads McCracken didn't care how it looked --- But, Titan transformed it into something beautiful (also he made the case for using Advantech subfloor since it was better [water resistant plus mold and mildew resistant). He also did some siding on the outside of our bedroom AND he did it right. The area he did had ZERO insulation in the wall. He put best insulation in then covered it with a plywood base and house wrap (to keep it dry and moisture resistant). Our bedroom used to run about 78 degrees in the summer when AC was on 73. Now it is one of the coolest room in the house and it is 73 degrees when the AC is on 73. I am thrilled. Also, replaced our two kitchen windows with more attractive windows which are double pained, shatter resistant and low-e glass. Now the kitchen feels cool and tight - Love it. Most of the stuff we had him do, was re-dos of stuff that others had done wrong. Each time, Pete would tell me what they had done wrong and how he was going to correct it. He does NOT cut corners, and he does beautiful work. Titan's slogan is "Doing it right costs less than doing it over." I can attest to this. I am glad that now I am getting it done right. You should use Titan Construction & Painting. If you have any questions or what to look at work he has done, let me know, or just reach out to TItan 361-673-6392. (I also included pictures of our Den and bar that he repainted and refinished the wood. One picture is of a wall seam that he repaired [you can't see the seam now because... he did it right]).

Vigil N Sons was one of the few contractors that didn't turn their nose up at my small job - many of those I reached out to for quote either ignored me or came back with "we aren't doing any work with an estimate less than $20,000". Aaron was extremely easy to work with, and I'm a very picky individual. He went out of his way to make sure I got the cabinets, flooring, and colors all exactly as I wanted. He was happy to provide suggestions for what could be installed but was also equally happy to use the materials I specified within the provided budget. He originally quoted 3-4 days to complete the work once it started, and even with inclement weather getting in the way, he still got the work completed in 3.5 days. I've waited a month after the work was completed to write and post this review, and I have to say the level of quality started out high and has remained that way. Everything has remained solid, the flooring hasn't developed any creaks, and everything is still securely assembled. I will certainly quote any future work with them first and foremost, and highly encourage anyone else to do the same!
