This is a mixed review on Precision Landscaping in Eleroy, IL. We used their lawn mowing services…read morefor several years (and they were good), but this year seem to be a real struggle for them. They mowed two properties for us, and one was for an 82-year old man with his wife being in a nursing home. Our primary concern was to ensure he got mowed so that he could handle his wife. In mid-June, his crew showed up, and he had mowed the week before (he was on every other week). We were there when they showed up as we were on our way to the nursing home to meet with hospice. We reminded the driver that this account was every other week. The driver got angry, slammed his door, and left to mow our lawn. Shortly thereafter, we got a text from the Owner Mark Diddens that he would not mow for the elderly man and for us. Yes, no good deed goes unpunished. We were shocked by the behavior and asked that he give us time to find someone else. Needless to say, that was challenging mid-season. Our elderly friend was extremely upset and had a meltdown. The staff at the nursing home did everything they could to get us a lawn mowing service. Even relatives of patients joined in. Thank you to everyone who helped us out. Please know how grateful we are to you. And, please know how extremely disappointed we were in Mark and the team at Precision Landscaping. This behavior is unacceptable, and please understand that when customers SIGN a "Statement of Work" for a defined time-frame (i.e., the ENTIRE season), they expect you to honor that commitment. Both of us SIGNED the document, paid you regularly (even when bills didn't arrive), and respected the relationship that we once had.

The website offers free quotes, but that turns out to be "in person" quotes only, and I guarantee what they quote will A) be confusing and more expensive than expected, B) not be what you eventually are charged, and C) will lock you into something you don't want. My father was 91 years old and had been diagnosed with dementia. Before this roofing project, his physician had determined that he lacked the capacity to make financial decisions, and an activated Power of Attorney was already in place. My sister personally spoke with Mr. Hiester and informed him that our father was not capable of making these types of financial decisions and that the family needed to be involved. Despite being told this, the project proceeded. Our family also informed Mr. Hiester that our father's health was declining and that he likely would not remain in the home for very long. Rather than discussing whether a less expensive repair or patch would meet his needs, he recommended a much more extensive roofing project. The roof that was installed was an overlay over the existing roof rather than a complete tear-off and replacement. Based on the work that was performed, our family believes the amount charged was excessive. Within just a few months, my father was hospitalized multiple times and ultimately moved into assisted living. Looking back, the money spent on this roofing project could have helped pay for the care he now needs. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability. Before posting this review, we made numerous phone calls and sent a certified letter asking Hiester Construction to discuss a fair resolution. Despite confirming receipt of our correspondence, no one responded. Because Hiester Construction chose not to communicate with our family, we are now filing complaints with the appropriate Illinois licensing authorities, consumer protection agencies, and elder protection agencies while seeking appropriate compensation. If you are considering hiring this company, especially if you are helping an elderly parent or loved one, I strongly encourage you.

Scott had previous experience with the pitfalls of a Menards kit and made the corrections to get my garage done right. I also had a problem with my concrete... Another company did the work and the slab was off. Again Scott was able to make the corrections so my garage was done right and above spec. I am looking forward in having them do my deck in the future.
