We got recommended to Eye Wander for a quick photo-shoot, and walked away feeling more than impressed. The building is absolutely stunning and transports you when you walk through the door. So many great colors and friendly people. Aaron took photos of us and was just awesome. Nice guy, passionate about what he does, and got incredible photos without any problems. Eye Wander Photo is awesome! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Aaron and his crew. Aaron is going to photograph my wedding in February and I cannot wait to see his work from our big day. So far, we have been nothing but pleased with our experience with Eye Wander and my fiance' and I LOVE our engagement photos. Professionalism: Aaron and his team are extremely professional and don't leave any detail undone. From the moment we decided to use them for our wedding we have been completely informed of any and all details and timelines necessary to make our big day the best. We have been informed throughout the entire process of what to do, what to wear, and the communication between us has been impeccable. Our engagement photo session was amazing. Aaron and his team went above and beyond my expectations. From being very clear about clothing suggestions, choosing the best location for our shoot and even providing a changing area for outfit changes during our shoot, it was a wonderful experience. My fiance and I had the best time with Aaron and his crew and they made us feel comfortable and we were able to be ourselves completely during the entire shoot. He captures some of the most beautiful and natural shots of us and we absolutely LOVE the pictures. Aaron is hilarious and knows how to make people feel comfortable and at ease. He has a wonderful eye to capture and see things that others would not. He really takes his time exploring, thinking and striving to capture the right images. Timeliness: Aaron had our pictures ready to view within a week and he was very thoughtful in how he wanted us to choose our photos. I live in Kentucky and so Aaron scheduled an online/live photo session in which we were able to review our pics and chose our favorite photos. Aaron even suggested ways we could use the photos and gave us suggestions of what to order, etc. as that can be very overwhelming. We cannot wait for Eye Wander Photo to photograph our wedding day! I have no doubt it will not only be a wonderful experience but the photos will be ones that we will cherish forever. read more

We hired Aaron to shoot our engagement portraits, bridal portraits, as well as the wedding and reception in 2019, and we were absolutely thrilled with the results. As an amateur photographer who has taken several years of formal classes in the past, I can attest that Aaron is a talented artist from both a technical and creative perspective. He has a knack for capturing emotions and the "feel" of a moment, which is precisely what we were looking for. Furthermore, both he and his staff bring an air of utmost professionalism to the job and know how to be right in the thick of things without being intrusive. Aaron also happens to be a joy to be around, and his enthusiasm for documenting and appreciating the decor/festivities (plus, his unique ability to hype up his subjects) was infectious. Thanks to Aaron and the team at Eye Wander, we have a lovely portfolio of digital images, some prints, as well as a physical wedding album to reminisce about our big day whenever we please. Highly recommend! read more

Aaron is a very professional and talented photographer. He will render your picture taking experience a memorable and enjoyable one. I have known Aaron for over a decade now, and his work has only blossomed with time. He has taken graduation pictures, portraits, school pictures, and he has also photographed weddings and several events I was involved in when I lived in Baton Rouge. Each time he exceeded expectations and marveled myself and his other subjects. He is a true artist. read more

Pictures were the most important thing to me in regards to my wedding. I spent more on pictures then I did on my wedding dress. It was the best purchase of my wedding. I ended up with over 500 pictures and every one of them was fabulous. I would recommend them to anyone who wanted professional, artistic, and timeless memories. - Lindsay Richardson Sweitzer read more

If you are on the fence between Eye Wander Photo and another photographer, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not choosing Aaron and his team. My husband is a photographer, and besides the actual marriage itself, photography was the most important part of our wedding day. Our expectations were sky high, and Aaron threw us out of the solar system. He and his team function like a well-oiled machine. He is so technically sound, and is willing to go over and beyond to get the shot. He listened to my vision and ideas and took them to places I didn't even know existed. His team doesn't miss a beat. They were so in tune with sensitivities and what it took to pull magic out of us, our friends and our family. They're not just there to snap what they see. Aaron and his team engage with their surroundings in ways that create real human moments, and these efforts reflect in their work. The photographs are more than beautiful. They are important, personal, and reflect our wedding day in ways that are worth 1000x more than what we paid for them. If I could stand on a rooftop and shout my praises, I would. Eye Wander is worth every single penny. If you're hesitating, this is your sign... BOOK THEM! You'll pat yourself on the back for the rest of your life for making such a fantastic decision. read more

I don't even know where to begin with how amazing Aaron was for our wedding. We initially met with Aaron and had the opportunity to really sit and get to know him so that he could best express our personalities on the day of the wedding and I'm so glad that we did! He even included an Engagement Photo Session in the wedding package so that you have the opportunity to get to know him prior to the big day! He did such a great job of capturing exactly who we are as individuals and as a couple. In all of our sessions that we were able to review pictures with him, he spent TONS of time going through everything with us and helping us to make decisions. It was super casual and he was very easily able to accomodate our busy schedules to meet with us which was super helpful! The day of the wedding, Aaron and his crew made every effort to make our day as special as possible. They were so positive and so energetic and really did a beautiful job of capturing every moment possible to help us remember our event. I was so glad that I had him there to calm my nerves and help things go smoothly. In reviewing all of our photos after the wedding, he spent HOURS, and I really mean HOURS, going through every image with us and helping to modify images so that they were absolutely perfect. I can't brag enough on Aaron's work and I know for sure that we'll be meeting again in the future. There's no one else I would even consider to help capture our next special time in life! read more

Aaron is such a talented Photographer and is great with kids! I have used him for the past couple of years for Christmas photos (and I took some Mother's Day photos last year) and every time I meet with him to go over the proofs I am blown away over and over again. He captures the personalities of every person in my family perfectly! He's great at making you feel comfortable, not posed, during the photo shoot, and all of his photographs look completely natural and turn out so much better than your standard "big box" photography studio. read more

Eye Wander hits it out of the park! There just so many wonderful things to say about Aaron's work, I don't even know where to start. For one, seeing all of his landscape and travel pictures online makes me really jealous and want to travel to those places *right now*. But for now, I will live vicariously through his travels since his photography makes you feel like you are in these exotic places. (: Second, I have been following Aaron's work before he had his huge team around when he first was starting out. It makes me super happy to see Eye Wander at community events (including photographing the LA Film Fest and Trafficking Hope gala which are two of my favorite things)... and to say that his artwork has grown and keeps giving me a gasp of WOW every time I scroll through his images is a giant understatement. Also, I work in the wedding industry a bit as well, and speaking him in person at the shows is always a wonderful experience if you are lucky enough to catch him between consults and client questions... Eye Wander is a hot commodity! I've even seen online that they do classes for beginners sometimes too. How cool is that to spread artistic expression and teach others to grow into themselves as artists and inspire passion?! Being a business owner myself, I am extremely picky when it comes to customer service, especially in an industry where we have to work hands-on with people. First point I want to make about Eye Wander is that the initial consult - Getting photos done for whatever occasion (wedding, portrait, boudoir, etc) can be extremely over whelming. Personally, I get anxious either not knowing or knowing too much what I want (and therefor having a hard time letting the artist do their job)... but Aaron has a way of putting the client at ease and speaking their language to get down to the details of what the client is looking for without feeling nervous or overwhelmed with decisions. He makes it easy and takes any stress or nervousness you are feeling out of the situation. Second, is about the actual session - Aaron and his team really do go above and beyond during each session to make it super fun and memorable and accommodating to the client. If the client is feeling still and nervous and afraid, he isn't afraid to let loose and make everything super comfortable and lax. He makes you not feel self conscience and vulnerable and boosts your confidence to where you truly enjoy every minute of the photo shoot, whether you are on-site at an outside location or simply in the studio. You will be disappointed when the session ends actually! Why did it go by so fast?! Third, Aaron lets you view your sessions photos on a huge slideshow screen to get a better look at the shots... it's like going to the movies! Viewing the photos is an experience in itself, and Aaron will give you his personal favorites and suggestions on what to order/ keep. As far as whether to order a book, regular prints, or other print options, he has plenty of selections to choose from to fit your own aesthetic needs. Since Eye Wander has a large team to handle design and orders, the editing and turnaround is very quick! Seeing Eye Wander's work makes me want to get married JUST to have amazing wedding photos! I would definitely recommend Aaron Hogan's company Eye Wander to ANYONE looking for a unique, personal, and not-so-standard photography experience. I'll be updating my review with each additional session booked with Eye Wander! read more

We had such a good experience with Eye Wander Photo and I would recommend Aaron and his crew to anyone looking for beautiful, professional wedding photos. Aaron flew to Boston to take our engagement photos and I think it is a testament to how great he is that he was able to take FANTASTIC photos in all of the unfamiliar locations we dragged him to! Our wedding photos were gorgeous and we're so happy with the book we bought, as well. Also, Aaron made us feel so comfortable so that we didn't have to stress on our wedding day and that, to me, is such an important quality to have in a wedding photographer. read more

Long post: there's this guy, his name is Aaron Hogan. He has a beautiful wife, her name is Jency Griffin Hogan. I met Aaron when I first moved to BR. I was working a Bridal Show at the Old Governor's Mansion and Aaron's booth was right across from mine. Aaron is one of the most talented photographers I have ever met in my life. His wife is equally as talented in all sorts of things. Earlier this week Aaron reached out to me and said that he had a time slot for a mini mommy and me session for Mother's Day and would I be interested in taking that spot because I had reached out to him a few months ago about doing a mommy and me shoot with Luca. Of course I jumped on it. Unbeknownst to me Dustin had also reached out to Aaron about doing a daddy and me shoot with Luca and Cooper. Aaron suggested that we take two slots for the the same day. This morning he texted and asked if Dustin and I would be interested in doing one family shot with Luca. Both Dustin and I responded with an emphatic yes. I got there after the boys had started their photo shoot already, and then it was my turn, and in between we did a few family shots with Dustin Luca and myself. Aaron was incredible with getting Luca's attention and getting him to smile even though it was his naptime. Jencey was awesome about making sure my hair looked pretty. It was just an all-around incredibly positive experience, and one that absolutely means the world to me. We may not be a conventional family by society standards, but when Luca is involved we come together as a unit and that is so incredibly special. I cannot wait to see the final product. And I am so grateful for Aaron and Jencey that they made this all happen. read more

Booking a photoshoot with Eye Wander is such an amazing experience, Aaron gets behind the lenses of these creative tools and there is no stopping the creative combustion that releases. Aaron approaches every frame like a director of a major motion picture and you are the Alist star. Aaron also challenges you and commands you tell your story. No from will be the same. Say yes to Eye Wander and you will be saying "Lights Camera Magic" read more

Aaron Hogan and the whole Eye Wander team are AMAZING! Aaron and a second photographer Max capture every moment of our wedding with fine detail and beauty. From our first meeting with Aaron, we knew that he had to be our wedding photographer! We loved his style and energy. His work speaks for itself, but it was so important to us to have a person that we felt comfortable with, and who was interested in knowing us as a couple. He invests in his clients and this is reflected in his work. I feel that anyone who sees our photos whether engagement or wedding can see our personalities reflected in them. Aaron captured that beautifully! Aaron is also more than just a photographer. He sat with my husband and I after each session and reviewed every picture with us. He edited and tweaked any picture we requested, so that we both felt like our best selves! His editing skills are FANTASTIC! He was so helpful in choosing the right pictures to display in our home and for our wedding album. His prints, canvases, and albums are of the highest quality, and we could not be more pleased with our purchases. I would highly recommend Eye Wander Photo to anyone, and I look forward to working with him again in the future! read more

My wife and myself could not have been happier with selecting Aaron to be our photographer for our engagement shoot and our wedding. We wanted someone who was passionate about his work and after meeting Aaron for the first time, he definitely fit what we were looking for. Quality of Work -- All of the photographs we have seen turned out incredible. Our friends and family have had nothing but great things and overwhelming compliments about the pictures we have shared with them, which is truly a testament to Aaron's skill along with his editing / presentation staff at Eye Wanderer. Ease to work with -- One of the things I was worried about in doing an engagement shoot along with a wedding shoot was that spending several hours taking pictures would get repetitive and possibly boring. I couldn't have been more wrong! Aaron is very easy to get along with and even easier to work with. His passion for photography shines when spending time with him during a shoot. He made both my wife and myself feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident the entire time. I would definitely recommend Aaron to friends and family and I would definitely want to work with Aaron again for any future event where I would want / need a photographer. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Aaron Hogan, his wife Jency Hogan and his lovely team on a few different projects, one being my family portrait, another on business photoshoots and also collaborated on a music video. He is a ridiculously talented creative individual, who has endless ideas and a keen eye for perfection. He is also so easy to work with because his humorous and easy going personality makes every step of your photo experience comfortable! He makes sure he captures everything you want in your photo, as well as gives his professional opinion and advice on everything from the editing process to the framing. He shot an amazing family portrait of my family and I and I was blown away by the outcome! I would highly recommend him for anything from engagement sessions, weddings, portraits, destination photography, underwater shoots, head shots, etc. I love working with him and his team! read more

We were fortunate to have Aaron photograph our wedding in Michigan and a newlywed session the next day in downtown Detroit. When I booked originally booked Aaron, it was very obvious that he had a lot of passion for his craft and the art of photography which was very important to me when I was looking for a wedding photographer. I wanted someone who would capture memories in a special way for my special day. I definitely wasn't disappointed! He captured moments, details, and "posed" shots that beautifully told the story of the day and the love between my fiance/husband and me. There are were also some fun photos and ones that captured a lot of personality. And to top it off, they're the best photos of me that have ever been taken! The images are beyond words!! We have gotten so many compliments about our photos and quality of work by our photographer with comments like "unreal photos", "breath taking", and "stunning." I couldn't agree more! These are memories we're going to cherish forever. read more

My wife and I used Eye Wander Photo for our wedding last November and could not be happier about our choice. From the beginning to the end, it was a true pleasure to work with Aaron and his company. He is an extremely talented photographer. His understanding about light and vision of the surroundings makes for some inspirational and breathtaking pictures. Besides his raw talent, he was a wonderful person to work with. He was extremely professional, but also was a lot of fun. His attitude, personality, and style made our wedding a lot less stressful and more enjoyable then it would have been had we used someone else. After spending time with him at our engagement shoot and wedding, I consider him a friend and would highly recommend him for any event. Aaron/Eye Wander Photography was one of the best decisions that we made when planning our wedding! I dreaded the thought of sorting through hundreds of pictures and not liking a single one... but after viewing the shots from our engagement session I realized the hard part was going to be discarding any of them! Our wedding pictures were then one less thing I had to worry about the day of the weeding. Aaron is fun, energetic, creative, and passionate about what he does. He and his staff are easy to work with and are a joy to be around. Our guests couldn't wait to have him take pictures of them and people viewing our gallery repeatedly ask how many photographers were at the event because of all the different perspectives and variety of photos. I have known Aaron and Eye Wander Photo for about 5 years. While I was in grad school at LSU, he was the photographer for many of the events hosted by the Flores MBA Program that I was involved in. About a year ago, we reconnected again when he did our engagement photos. He also did my wife's bridal photos, as well as our wedding and reception photos. I have seen firsthand that he can do it all, from professional headshots to candid action shots at parties. Aaron's attention to detail, and his desire to get the perfect shot each and every time, have always impressed me - as well as his effort to get to know his subjects on a personal level before photo shoots in order to truly capture who they are through his art. The amount of time that he spends with clients before, during, and after photo shoots speaks volumes about his passion for what he does. The end results every time I have worked with Aaron have always been fantastic - I would recommend him to anyone for any important occasion. read more
