This organization's negligence and unprofessionalism are truly discouraging. Coaching at STEAM Works Studio has proven to be incredibly incompetent. It has resulted in nothing but frustration for my son due to their lack of understanding of robotics competitions. Their ill-preparedness leaves students feeling lost, unsupported, and in our case, my son was disqualified from the World Robotics Organization (WRO) competition. In addition, the staff lacks professionalism. Inconsistent communication has left us in the dark about competition rules, team structure, and other important information. After I raised concerns as parents, the Monroe branch leader Dinesh Sharma removed my son from the team after my son built a working robot that could be used in the First Lego League. If your child is considering STEAM Works Studio in Monroe, I strongly advise against it. You can avoid frustration by finding a more reputable and capable program.

The manager, or the owner, it's difficult to tell at this point, is disrespectful to students who simply make a mistake or accidentally turn around during a test when they walk in. When students try to explain themselves, the manager doesn't want to hear it, and simply gives them a "strike". Three strikes means kicked out, with several parent phone calls. Threaten to kick people out despite paying an absurd amount of money for the service in the first place, meaning you lose your money. Already kicked a person out this year and threatened to kick a few more out. Basing all of these "threats" on incorrect information supplied by people who don't know the whole story. The good things about this place: the library, the location, the food places around it, and the teachers. The manager and the administration literally don't know what they're doing.
