Dr Waldman is a butcher I would deff not let him touch my children's teeth. He will tell you you need a route canal when all you need is a filling. His cleanings are crazy he just basically picks your teeth and scraps your gums. He is absolutely terrible!! I went to him when I was younger I am 33 now and decided it would just be easier to get dental Implants at this point, all his work was terrible and he created more problems then there were. I became a patient to this office after the Medicaid rep spent too much time finding me a dentist that accepted my insurance for an emergency cracked tooth visit. (Still had to wait 5 days) My story is long but to sum it up: Dr. Waldman has a wonderful bedside manner. Very soft spoken and kind. BUT...the some of his staff isn't as lovely. I find a big lack of communication with the patients. I've been talked to as if I'm a dentist as well, rudely & condescendingly. Things are not explained to me fully, leaving me to advocate for myself after it's too late. I keep returning because Dr Eyal is great, it's close to home & my United Healthcare CP is accepted. Procedures I need or don't need aren't given as options or told to me "we can if insurance approves" Please train staff to be more thorough when explaining procedures, aftercare and options for their teeth! If only I had read the reviews before I even went. The place is disgusting, the Dr has no maners, kept telling me to open my mouth like I'm a child. Instruments looked gross all over, made me gagged. He left without saying a word to me and moved on to the next patient. I haven't seen a dentist since covid started and this men literally spent 7 minutes cleaning my teeth. He left without any teaching on what to do and not to do. I'm upset at myself, worse experience ever. Stay away from this place. Deserve no stars. read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Today 03/28/21 was my first appointment. It was at their new location on Portion Rd. I've been waiting for this appointment for going on 3 weeks. Over the phone when I booked the appointment, they were nice and friendly. I should have listened to the reviews. I had an appointment at 11 am. I got there at 10:45 am to fill out paper work. I did it all in 5 mins and I started waiting. I started seeing people come in after me and they were seen before me and then by 12 noon, still wasn't seen or was told anything. I'm not the type of person that's going to get up and yell at them so I just left. They never even called me or anything to see where I was. I'm very upset I wasted my time going to them after leaving an old dentist and having to wait 3 weeks for this appointment. A big waste of time. He completely drilled out the wrong tooth at the base at my gum line- It is destroyed. He left it exposed and didnt tell me to come back . The receptionist who makes the appointments is professional. Worst dental care. It took over a year to complete work which should have taken the most 2 to 3 months. They overbook appointments, so you waiting an hour to see your dentist. Numerous reasons the dentist gives you for not completing the work on your visit. i.e. they overbook etc. No dental hygenist on staff. The billing person, is a witch, bulling you. Had to convince her my insurance covered the procedues. I had to make numerous calls to my insurance company to finally call her to tell her I was covered. She doesn't call the insurance company herself to confirm. I had a crown fall out.I have to find a new dentist. read more

It may be outdated but I've been going to him since he was on Main Street in patchogue, all these people saying he's a scam and asks for money try going to sachem dental and island daily dental they wait till you're all shot up to say you owe $750 that day for something you later find out is covered everywhere else, Waldman works within the authorization of insurance benefits, I'm gonna say most of these people complaining are complainers and prolly just write bad reviews all day. Horrible visits. Long wait. The office manager bullied me and behaved totally inappropriately and rude. Nasty nasty woman. The dentist was horrible. He has ruined my tooth. I got a crown put on and it fell out. Then I got it fixed and it fell out again. I never went back and am now suffering. Very rough. Not a good dentist. He should not be practicing!!! Nope. Not friendly at all. Uninformative and not for anyone who is claustrophobic. It is never a good thing when a dentist says oops. I hope my teeth are fine because I'm not going back to him. Great practice it looks outdated but one thing I can say is they actually listen to your concerns.I had suffered from a painful crown and gum irritation on a back molar for 5years my old dentist X-rays showed no infection yet I felt pain on my jaw ,I even went to a root canal specialist for a better machine to determine if my jaw was infected yet found nothing except for weakness on the muscles on that side of the face. My old dentist refused to open the crown or at least entertain finding a solution to the pain was told after a routine dental cleaning That I needed my fillings to get re-done as it was worn and make an appointment,made the appointment only for him to say I needed 2 root canals and was pushing me to get it done right then and there at that point I was absolutely done with them at sachem Dental. I heard about this place not only did I not need the route canals but they were able to fix the painful jaw that I had for over five years as it turns out the crown was too high and my jaw was hurting because of the pressure I was putting on the muscles with my bite my old dentist was seriously about to get rip me off and damage my teeth with an unnecessary procedure. read more

Set appointment for 4/30/18 at 1:00 PM The office called me 3 times to confirm my appointment. Showed up 10 minutes early only one person in waiting room Looked good However Not Good at all waited 1 hour another person came in 30 minutes after me and was taken right away. Went to ask receptionist why I am waiting for an hour and others are taken before me. Only answer we are busy today. Pure nonsense busy today? But I have arrived for my appointment on time and now the waiting room is full. Busy unbelievable Receptionist needs to get a real time check. Waiting room unacceptable claustrophobic very bad. The Dentist was good no problems with him helpful professional and courteous. But as his receptionist they represent the Dentist and he needs to know it demotes his office to below standards. 20 - 30 minutes is the expected and wait time. Here there is a total disrespect for patients time and comfort while waiting. Changes need be made or patients will go elsewhere. read more

Beware of this dentist. I should have left after seeing the archaic 30 year old dental technology, but I stayed when I saw the many people in the waiting area thinking they was​ good because of that, I would later pay the price. After some ok procedures, I needed a bridge, decided to let these guys do it. Waldman drilled and filed my teeth down to almost nothing. Seems to enjoy filing teeth, like he is a sculpture artist or something. Then an hour or so later, he unnecessarily continued to keep digging in my teeth and gums, the anesthesia was starting to wear off so I had to tell him to knock it off. Not sure why, but four months later, my teeth still hurts when I bite down. My son who also went to him for work, had the same complaints​ about his drilling and filing, and he does not want to go back to him. Now immediately after the butchering of my teeth, he tried to hustle me saying that my bridge would be missing a tooth because the insurance company won't pay for any more and he wanted another $250!. That didn't sound right so I started to ask questions. Like how many teeth was on the bridge and how much the insurance already payed for. He said to talk to the ladies because they have the file, when I called the next day the lady said she would get back to me, she never did. He knows that you need him to finish the job and he has you. That hustle didn't work so he did another. When the lady called to confirm my final appointment for the install, she said that there was an overage I had to pay because the insurance didn't cover all for my bridge because of the work I did elsewhere. I knew they were lying but couldn't prove it because they don't give you any numbers. Like how much the bridge cost, how much they already received, etc. Because of no proof, I angrily agreed. Then after the installation of the bridge, they had the nerve to ask for more money!! I was firm this time and said no!! Take me to court if you want! After about a half hour, they backed down. The bridge he installed got loose and shaky after only three days. The bridge he replaced was still firm after ten years! Another is still in place and firm after years of being in place. I will have to go to a good dentist to fix it, but have to wait because I don't know if I have any insurance left. I refuse to see this guy and his con artist crew again, and neither will my son!! I was looking for a same day appointment for a broken tooth. Dr Waldman was one of two dentists that I called. The other dentist gave me an appointment first. After seeing me they said they were discontinuing my insurance in a couple of weeks, so I should continue with another dentist right away.. I called back Dr Waldman's office and told them of the situation,. that I may need them for the required crown work.. The manager said I would have to pay for an exam before doing the crown, because my coverage would not pay for two dentist's exams..I then called the dental coverage authorization line and they said this was not true and there was no problem covering it. I then called back to tell them this and the manager told the girl I was now speaking to that I would have to wait until the first of the year to be covered. I told her I just checked with the approval authorization line and this was not the case. She kept insisting that she was right. I asked that she call me back and she never did I told the other girl that I was having enough trouble with my tooth without being abused by her to. When I looked back at the conversations she never asked if I was in pain. Did she think that I could wait until the new year?. A later dentist said that I could swallow the loose part of the tooth if it was not removed right away and ingest it in my lung. He removed it at the first visit. Is this her own method of taking people off the panel? If there is a legitimate reason not to treat someone isn't it easy enough to state it.as opposed to harassing someone. Are they required to accept panel patients? Are they allowed to make false statements about coverage? (or false statements at all) Is it not up to the dentist to control the staff? This is not my idea of a quality operation. I don't know if the dental work is any better than the staff treatment but I am not interested in finding out. read more

Terrible service, information takes too long to receive. I once got a filling from them that they promised would last around 10 years and fell out after a month. Relatives were told they didn't have any cavities but once they transferred to a different dentist, were told they had a lot of cavities. read more

I'm a current patient of this dental office & since day one I have had issues. The staff clearly doesn't know their job & gives out the incorrect information & somehow that's your fault. The issue that has me writing this review is because I called my dental office @ 12 & asked for my doctor to call me back the receptionist response was the doctor doesn't call patients back is it ok if a manager calls back? I advised her I don't want to speak with a manager I would like to speak with my doctor because it's a personal issue. After waiting until almost 5pm to call me back it was still the office manager who left me a voicemail. I called the office back to speak with the doctor & was told didn't the office manager call you back? I advised her I specifically told you I don't want to speak to anyone else but my doctor she then told me word for word " he's probably not going to call you back but I'll let him know". That is the most unprofessional office I have ever dealt with & 9/10 I will not be going back there & if you're wondering no he did not give me a call back!!!!! read more

i called the first time to make an appointment for my children , and they asked for date of b'day and insurance #. fine !! a got it i call back they answer, but they completely ignore me pretending was a wrong connection or something, i call several times and they continue with the same attitude, maybe was my insurance?? who knows!! i read other reviews wasn't good so better give up read more
