New Town Sunoco - Putting gas in the car

    New Town Sunoco

    (8 reviews)

Let me paint you a picture. I was sitting on the couch and get that sweet tooth. So I hop in my car…read moreand drive down the street to this gas station which I've been to many times. I peruse the aisles tryng to make that perfect decision. It felt like Indiana Jones trying to choose the right cup. Finally!!! I see the perfect choice BEN& JERRY'S ice cream. Flavor of choice New York fudge Chuck. A perfect choice for a hot summer day. Fast forward. I get home and get to the kitchen grab a spoon and start to dig in. First bite hits me. Expecting a creamy yummy chocolatey bite of ice cream. BUT NOOOOOOOO!!! It was a chalky crunchy bite. The freezer had let the ice cream melt and refeeze. I don't know if you ever had ice cream like this but it makes it like you're eating chocolate ice chips. Disgusting!!!! I'm heartbroken. I did not have time to go back again. So I go back a couple days later. I went up to the counter now to purchase some milk, and not ice cream because that trust is broken instead a milky way. I explained to the cashier what happened. This man proceeds to lecture me on how to return items. Saying I needed to come back the day of. First off I'm not a child don't lecture me on return poilcy. Second you shouldn't have sold me a product that was not defective in the first place. Third there should not even have been a debate. It should have been a simple "ok our product is bad let me take care of this for you." In no way was I trying to pull a fast one. I showed him one bite out of the ice cream. The line was growing behind me it was a busy Friday night, and I was not trying to make a big deal. The people behind me were really cool saying "just take the man's ice cream back." But dude behind the counter wanted to be a hard-ass and seemed to lecture me a 35yr old about how to buy and return. Let me explain something to you Mr. Cashier guy. It would have been no skin off your back to take back the ice cream give me a new one and move on. Yes maybe the owner would have had to eat a few dollars. Or maybe the supplier would have had to eat a few dollars. But instead you made the customer/consumer eat the cost. I don't live by the code of the customer is always right. That's a bunch of BS. In this situation if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck. It's probably a duck!!! So next time instead of making a mountain out of a molehill. Take a second Mr. Cashier and think if the customer is really just a genuine person trying to make a simple return, and kill his sweet tooth. P.S.. the vacuums at this establishment are also set on like a minute thirty seconds

The guy - once he came up for air from his personal phone call, "oh what's today I need to change all those prices" after I asked him 2-3x to come to the freezer to look for hisself. Since when don't store honor THEIR marked prices?? He could have given me the junk for the price marked and changed the prices... but no they want an extra 1.50 for their error. I told him to keep it. I sent a message to corporate lmao they offered me POINTS I said keep them bc I'm never shopping here. I wanted to go to royal farms but it was out of my way- always trust your gut. Also, last but not least please don't eat from here the floors and everything are always FILTHY. You know they're not wiping off counters, washing hands or wearing gloves. Proceed w/ caution

I stopped in today to get gas and grab a quick lunch in between meetings…read more I grabbed a variety of small size red bulls, 3 for $5. A regular sized hot dog and gas. At the register, I was told that I only had 2 minutes to get gas before it timed out. I was given a hotdog rolling about in the hot dog cartoon. I went to get a hot dog bun and condiments, and of course - none were to be found. So I had to wait for someone to bring out ketchup, mustard and relish packets. Then there was a long line, so I had to wait for people to move to get the hot dog bun. So by the time I went outside, the gas was "not working". I went back in hoping that I could just have the attendants turn the gas on and they said, it timed out so the money went back to my credit card. So i just said forget it. I'm not sure when this became a policy, but pre-covid, I used to come here often to get gas before/after work and this wasn't in place. Seemed like some of the attendants might have been a bit stressed or flustered with the long line in the 711. I'm not sure, but some seemed slightly overwhelmed.

This Royal Farms is in a great location and is very convenient…read more I look forward to getting gas w RoFo Club card where my family and I have earned 6.4 million pts towards food. The gas prices are pretty competitive here and the store itself is pretty nice. Fresh chicken and fries around the clock, breakfast and lunch items available 24 hours a day. The staff members are usually very helpful. I love the onsite carwash that does pretty well on our vehicles. Although we have 4 Royal Farms locations within 3 miles, this one tends to top the rest w food quality. We will continue to support this location as it has been a neighborhood gem.

I went to the coffee station and it was pretty messy. Coffee had been spilled all over and doesn't look like they have more than one person working so not sure when he would have time to clean up. Interior over all was a little dirty. Thankfully I am not in this area much so I won't have to stop here. They definitely need to work on some improvements to have this place up to standard. Probably one of the worse Royal Farms I have been to. I did end up getting a cup of coffee but notified they don't have any stirrers. I used a regular straw to stir my cup. Check out was quick. I grabbed a pack of Krimpets from the shelf by the counter. They had two of the self check out counters open. Would be better here if they could clean the place up.
