I had thought my battery may be showing signs of age, and had Jeep check it last week, they said it was fine. So I ended up going to Harris Tire Company on on Forest Road. They were very freindly and assured me that they would help me, if they could. This Jeep has the stop/start feature, and required a special piece of equipment. They did have that and were able to change it out with no ill affect to the CPU in the Jeep. This took less than 30 minutes and we were off. Was so nice to have the battery fully operational, and know that I would not get stranded in the mountains. Thank you to Kyle and the whole crew. My "check engine" indicator light came on while driving to Atlanta. The message said, "Check AWS system." I quickly reviewed my manual, but it only said to pull over and have a garage or Toyota shop read the car's computer. I was worried and had no idea if I could find an open garage on a weekday afternoon or one that could diagnose our problem quickly. Therefore, I looked for garages AND hotels near Amherst because I needed to figure out how long we would be stranded. Amazingly, I found Amherst Garage located nearby, and even more amazingly, they were available to help. Rick plugged in the diagnostic reader to the car's computer. It lit up like a Christmas tree. All indicators pointed to a battery problem, and again, we were fortunate that Rick had the correct battery for my old 2015 Toyota Highlander in stock. The price of the battery and service were very reasonable, and the friendly service from Rick and LC cannot be surpassed. I learned so much that day. He and LC told us everything we needed to know to get another 100K miles out of that car. They made a very stressful experience enjoyable, and I am sincerely grateful. My sister's vehicle was serviced at this same location a few years ago, and it recently had to return because of the same mechanical issue. While the mechanical problem was frustrating, the biggest issue was the customer service--or lack of it. There is a lot more I could say about my experience, but I value my time and don't want to spend any more of it on this situation. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before using this location. Go at your own risk.
