I always end up stopping here for gas whenever I pass through the area since it is conveniently located just outside of Charleston and easily accessible from the interstate. The gas prices here are about the same as anywhere else in this area, but gas in West Virginia is always higher than the surrounding states (tip: be sure to check out the small sticker on the gas pumps that tell you how much of the gas prices goes to taxes in WV). Inside there is a typical convenience store that sells the usual items you would expect to find. The restrooms are not as clean as you would find at an interstate rest area, but they are also no worse than you would find at a typical gas station. There is also a Subway inside, but it is strictly for carryout only. If you are in need of something that you somehow can't find here, then there is a Kroger just a few yards down the road. Still this place is a quick stop if you are passing through.

I walk inside and they are not busy, the guy behind the register is just leaning against the back wall and on his phone. The trash from the outside is being tracked inside. So the areas between the front doors of the building and the entrance doors to the store are littered with cigarette butts, paper, grass clippings, etc.... I took a few pics that are representative for the most part but couldn't take pics of the dirtiest areas because of vehicles and people in general. Didn't want to catch a license plate, a pedestrian or a dirty look from anyone. Hopefully, this review will get them to clean up their act.

Owner and staff went out of their way to help me and my wife get…read moreback on the road again after taking a motorcycle trip up to Hawks Nest State Park back on 8/25/2018 which is about 130 miles from home. We had a valve plug blowout on our front tire and barely made it to Brown's Service Station. During our wait, the owner allowed us to use his phone several times (no cell service in the area) to call our relatives for help and even offered us a sandwich and something to drink. Not specializing on servicing motorcycle tires, they tried several different ways to get to the valve in order to replace it. Finally, the owner located an old tool that dated back into his grandfather's day and was able to get to the valve and replaced it. These people were so friendly and treated us with so much kindness. My wife and I are so thankful for what they all did for us and for God getting us there safely. They are the Best of the Best!! A Great bunch of People that made us feel like family. Thanks guys for all you did for a couple of 62 year old strangers!!! You will never be forgotten!!

(right beside McDonald's) As far as convenience stores are concerned, Speedway ranks in the top two of my favorites. Besides being local & always clean, they have one of the best coffee stations in the industry! I'll put a $1.29, 20 oz. cup of Speedway coffee up against any $5 cup from anywhere else, any day of the week. The selection is diverse and always fresh. The accouterments are even more diverse. Speedway also has a free membership card, Speedy Rewards, with which purchases are applied as points and can be cashed in for "free" merchandise. Included in the Speedy Rewards program are beverage clubs, which earn members the 7th beverage free (including their delicious coffee). Points are earned on nearly every purchase, with the exception of tobacco products. This Speedway location is open 24/7, usually has the least inexpensive gas in the area and has just installed brand new pumps.

The management at this store is extremely poor when it comes to their employees. They take…read moreadvantage of my girlfriend and make her work other peoples shifts and she never has a set sleeping schedule which causes unwanted stress. Management makes rude comments towards her. And on her days off she is constantly called through out the day to come work on her days off. She does not make enough money to be treated in such a way. Its a shame to take advantage of someone like that all because others do not want to ce do their own job.
