Yesterday Seth once again squeezed me on on short notice for an oil change as well as final drive fluid. Seth works quickly and efficiently and had me done within an hour so which meant I had plenty of time to ride the rest of the day. By chance, I noticed my tire was thread worn and in dire need of replacement. I called Nick and he went out of his way to help me out! while I was riding to his shop in Livingston, he drove to Bozeman and purchased a tire, brought it back to the shop and when I got there, he took another bike off the rack, got mine up there and went to work. I didn't have enough cash on me to pay him so while he was working on the bike, he offered to let me borrow his truck to go to the bank in town! We posed this question to the locals and got amazing results. It happens there is one relatively large business in town on the main highway that leads ultimately to Yellowstone that sells snowmobiles, ATVs, motorcycles, and other recreational vehicles. And they just happen to be well stocked with warm winter jackets and vests, just the sort of thing Mr. B wanted. The locals called it Polaris, but it is actually PMS, Performance Motor Sports. The jackets were high quality, light weight, really nicely made, and attractive. Just one flaw. They didn't have his size....but ....they could get one in tomorrow. Problem #2. We were leaving Ashton tomorrow morning. A quick phone call by Manager Corbett (and I believe owner too) and it turns out their supplier, the wholesale manufacturer, had one, and they were about 35 miles down the road. Best of all, they were in the direction we were headed. So, we paid for it so he would get the sale and he arranged for us to pick it up instead of waiting around for delivery. Everybody was happy and it was just that simple. In a world where things can be so complicated, there are wonderful people who fully understand flexibility and customer service. We got up early one morning to go ride through Yellowstone but my bike wouldn't start! It would crank but not start. I called Cody Custom Cycle and told them the story. They said bring it in and they would look at it! I didn't have a way to get it there so they loaned me a trailer! I got it down there around 11 am and we took the truck and drove the bear tooth highway. They called me around 3 to let me know what was wrong and they had it fix! I was very surprised and happy to hear. They really had me by the short hairs! I was expecting at least $500 bill! But they only charged me $130! I'm still riding the same bike and loving it!
