My third graders used to partner with the Z for the symphony trio events (classroom, grade level and then at the Z) and they were so so so amazing! We brought my middle schoolers to see a winter play once too. I have also attended many events on my own. Whether it's a show or a workshop, the Z offers so much for the local community. I'm excited for their next chapter!

I have a lot of love for this theatre and the staff there and spent many a time there from school field trips growing to working backstage many years later, getting to see great performers from Hal Holbrook to James Brown and many more. It's not everyday you get to catch a glimpse of the past and the beauty and artistry of these vintage playhouses. Can't wait to catch another show next time I'm home!

The Gingerbread Lady is set in the 1970s and portrays a mother trying to overcome her alcohol addiction with the help, or hindrance, of her dear friends. The directing was superb, the acting was incredible with just the right mix of "oh my god, how could she do that" and "oh my god, that's hilarious". I've enjoy many shows performed by the talented actors at Your Theatre and this is just another piece in their community theatre repertoire. As previous reviewers have stated, the building currently being utilized is not the best acoustically and seating is a big difficult. The use of risers for the back rows has made a HUGE difference in visual lines, however. And the building is old...floors creak...but if that's the worst that can be said about it, I'm okay with it. They are in the process of procuring a new venue. You can read about it on the Your Theatre webpage and facebook page and in the Standard Times! What a treasure this new space will be! Please help make this a reality for this wonderful Theatre Company by donating, no matter how small. Every dollar helps!
