I hired them in a pinch to do a move from Biddeford to South Portland a couple years ago. Quoted move was for 3 hours and 3 guys for whatever the price was - sounds good to me. They were also the only moving company with any openings - in hindsight, another sign. Everyone else was booked for months. Well - they show up and what a team it was. 3 guys that all acted like they were 13-year-olds. While they were loading the truck, they broke a few pieces of furniture, including a wardrobe and a stand up mirror due to their negligence and goofing around. They didn't apologize or offer a solution to anything, even though it was very, very clearly their fault. One kid was also nowhere to be found for 80% of the move. Early on, I realized that if I didn't help them, the 3 hour move would take closer to 10 at the pace they were going, and with a jacked up price along with it.... so I was helping them do their work to speed it up. It was honestly a joke, but what are you going to do when you need to get something like a move done? You make sure it gets done. While we were unloading, the one kid that was never working jumped out from under moving blankets in the back of the truck at me, thinking I was one of his coworkers. The team lead didn't get this kid to start working at any point during the job either. He (the kid) had strong "my dad is the coach" energy if that makes sense. I want to say we started in the morning, like 8 or 9 AM and ended after the sun went down. Team leader came up to me for payment and gave me the bill, which was only for the amount of the original 3 hour long quote. He said "It's the wardrobe, mirror and coffee table discount" and laughed about it, to my face. I didn't find it funny. I also didn't tip them and will never hire them again. --- Although a new addition and something that I wasn't expecting, but totally tracks with what I experienced... This pop up came up when I loaded their Yelp page: "This business may have tried to abuse the legal system in an effort to stifle free speech, for example through legal threats or contractual gag clauses. As a reminder, reviewers who share their experiences have a First Amendment right to express their opinions on Yelp. More information about the action that led to this Consumer Alert is available here." https://www.themainewire.com/2023/01/maine-moving-company-that-threatened-people-who-left-negative-online-reviews-owes-state-125000/ I'm not sure if it was the company or Kevin specifically that had to pay the state $125,000 for that one. My experience was enough, but considering the rest of it...? Do yourself a favor and go with another company that isn't soaked in drama.

It was a mistake hiring Liberty Bell Moving for our move from Maine to Virginia. The movers damaged…read morealmost all of our furniture in one way or another: 1. They got grease stains on an upholstered chair and on 3 upholstered kitchen stools. 2. We have a large lamp that we asked to be specially packed in a lamp box (which costs extra). It does not appear they actually packed the lamp in the lamp box. Whatever they did, they scratched up the base, and caused various small tears, scratches, and marks on the lamp shade. 3. They scraped up a lot of our wooden furniture. I observed one of the movers carrying our furniture from our origin without using moving blankets. I asked about this, and he told me they would be wrapping the items once they got down to the truck. It does not, however, appear that all items were fully wrapped. Several of our pieces of wood furniture show signs of scraping up against other items. Our coffee table, our dining room table and chairs, and our bed frame all have scrapes and scratches. One chair in particular is horribly scraped up and is an eyesore. 4. We have a wooden pedestal for a sculpture that they chipped the bottom of in various places. One of the movers on delivery even spun the pedestal on one of the corners of its base as he was setting it down, which shows the lack of care that they were using in moving these items. 5. When the movers arrived, they told me that they had discovered a hole in the moving truck, which meant some of the rain from the downpour the night before (when they were driving down to VA) had gotten into the truck. This resulted in several soaked boxes, and it resulted in our mattress getting soaked. We had to dry out the mattress for a week with the help of a dehumidifier (which we had to buy just for this purpose). They also stained the mattress - there is some dark staining (perhaps more grease stains) and some yellowing that is probably from the water damage. 6. They bent one of the bars on our metal drying rack.It looks like something heavy fell on it. Please see the attached photos for some examples of the damage. I cannot recommend this company less highly.

Due to flight delay on my recent trip I arrived about 9 hours late. Rather than a usual rental car company that would have already given away my reserved car I arrived and was quickly given my reserved car. The check in for me and all those ahead of me was probably the quickest I have seen. They had 2 people on the desk at 10 pm. Communication was excellent during the rental. Amazing to me as I returned the car before 5 AM they still had someone to receive the car and give me a final receipt. That is unheard of at an airport this size to have someone working that early. Kudos to Enterprise at Portland Jetport, Maine. Will definitely use them again next time thru this area.

I rented from this Enterprise earlier this month during a weekend in Kennebunkport. The experience…read morewas good overall. I made my reservation online in advance of my trip, so once I landed I just had to navigate from the main airport to the rental area. Everything was well labeled so, so far so good. Truly the only part of check-in I could "complain" about was that the gentleman at the desk who was finalizing the rental was clearly not listening to everything I said. He asked three or four times if I had a preference of the car I got. Truly I didn't - I just needed to drive from Point A to Point B on a Friday afternoon, and back on Sunday. He finally stopped asking me what car I wanted when his female colleague loudly told him to knock it off. (Thank you, ma'am!) I get it, sir: you wanted to be helpful. But I had been up and traveling 12 hours at that point - I'm glad your coworker realized the best way to help me was to just get me on the road. Finally I was set loose to go get my car. This was actually the hardest part. The garage is NOT well labeled or even particularly well lit, so once I had left the building I was quickly turned around. Fortunately garage staff were able to nudge me in the right direction to the car. But seriously: better signage and lighting for the whole garage (and all the rental companies) would be great. That ends the tale of getting the car. Bringing it back was much less eventful - a staff member came over, asked how my trip was, and also asked if I knew anything about a big crack in the windshield that I didn't see when first leaving the dark garage. Fortunately he understood that there was no way I had caused that loooong crack during a two day rental period. It was noted for the team to deal with and off the airport I went. In summary: Very straightforward, no major problems at all. I'd rent from them again during a future trip.

Jada made Cujo look like a fluffy puppy. About a month ago, I started the daunting task of looking for a reliable mover who wasn't going to charge me some crazy extraordinary amount. I went on Yelp and did the "select all" option for a quote. Immediately I got a response from Pavel of LUMY Moving Inc. I looked for reviews but couldn't find many. Hours later I received 4 more quotes who had numerous positive reviews and a quote of $145+ per hour! I did some research and saw LUMY was a fairly new company that was founded in 2019. I thought everyone must start somewhere so with a bit of hesitation, I decided to give them a chance. Also, Pavel's price was much more reasonable at $95 per hour. I emailed Pavel several questions along with a change of move date. He was very responsive and accommodating. Well let me tell you, these guys absolutely ROCK! They wrapped all my good furniture up so it didn't get scratched. Got all my stuff out of my old home into the new one in under 4.5 hours! More importantly, they were cautious and good about being sure my baby girls were safe (Darcy and Jada). These 2 guys went way above and beyond! When they were finished, even though they had another job to go to, asked if I needed help with anything. Before Pavel and Max left, I asked what does LUMY stand for? When they told me, I thought to myself; It's obvious isn't it? It stands for "Let Us Move You" If you are moving and seeking a awesome moving company, look no further. I can say with confidence that you would NOT be disappointed if you selected LUMY to assist you with this important day. I think back about judging them on being new and having a lack of reviews. The truth of the matter is, they worked harder than a company in business for a longtime. They want to prove themselves and build a respectable company. They unquestionably are on their way!
