can't say that I've been by since The BeforeTime... but I've known Barbara (and Marlee) for well over a decade; back when I was i was a lowly intern and on into my professional career, at which time I could be found a floor above and just round the corner. even then, Barbara had "been at it it" for an age and then some. in all the time ive known her: HER REPUTATION FOR EXCELLENCE HAS NEVER BEEN ANYTHING BUT UN-IM-PEACHABLE honestly, what more might one want to know? her prices are fair; her opinion? as direct as it is sought after; integrity? you could only hope to reach her level; furthermore she knows the business, therefore she understands and anticipates your needs. I could continue to gush but I deluge already! and I've not gilded the lily either. others in the hood will take advantage and still get it wrong in the end. why not instead, support the OG Babe in business for herself and The Community; since ever the first Clothing Rep slithered its way out of The Bazaar; still slick with Snake Oil; gasping for paper! all this to say that Barbara is definitely your gal! a true One Stop Shop! and don't even get me started on The Green Sheet read more

Quick, reliable, stayed a little later to accommodate us. Barbara was sweet and informative .

Met Barbara today... she was very helpful! Coming back for all my notary needs. Price is fair & she has years of experience.

Barbara was an amazing help to us while on a weekend trip. We have been in the process of selling our home, and of course all of the final paperwork hit our inboxes right when we landed in LA. After a little searching (and walking down the wrong hallway), we found Barbara in her office. She could not have been more helpful or accommodating as we printed our documents and started signing! About 20 minutes later we were signed, notarized, and ready for FedEx, with a few good tips on LA to boot. The whole process was efficient, and dare I say fun, thanks to Barbara's help and professionalism. read more

Best copy place ever... Barbara Kaplan and Co. at Extra Secretary are the best at what they do. They catered primarily to the designers in the California Market Center (CMC) and the up-and-coming fashion designers at the Otis College of Art and Design but I'm sure they will be happy to handle anyone's needs! I'm always running into Extra Secretary with my flash drives and drawings and Barbara always knows what to do with them. And, most importantly, they always do it with a smile. What copy place does that? Certainly not kinkos! read more

Barbara is wonderful! She was quick and cheap. $10 to get a one page letter notarized (I have paid so much more in the past). I admit the office is tough to find. Call if you have issues. Look for the entrance between the 2 banks and go to the second floor. At least there's good AC in that building! read more

I love Barbara! I called in last Friday a couple minutes before close to get something notarized. I was a couple of miles away and I was panicked I wouldn't get there on time. Barbara told me to take my time b/c she didn't want me to get in an accident. I got there a little after close, and sure enough, there she was, with a smile on her face and was in no hurry to get me out the door. She notarized my letter, faxed it for me, and even let me pay extra on my credit card so I could get cash for the garage. The service is wonderful here. I highly recommend it. read more

All the great Yelp reviews are well deserved. Barbara is amazing. I stopped by to get a document notarized and it went smooth as silk. read more

Green Sheet / Extra Secretary is a wonderful resource in Downtown. Whether it's business cards, resizing for your sketching class or a simple color copy. THIS IS THE PLACE. The caps mean I'm not kidding around here. Barbara and Marley are very helpful and will ensure that you are not just waiting around for someone to notice you like at those lesser copy shops (*cough cough* Kinko's *cough*). read more

Barbara was great. We had a big, long out of state real estate contract with multiple pages to notarize and witness and she was extremely thorough and meticulous. Plus she's fun and made the whole process a joy instead of a chore. Super easy downtown location, knows her stuff and answers the phone. Thanks Barbara! read more

Barbara goes beyond the basic requirements to help you with your notary needs. She's extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. She takes extra care in providing her notary services. Working with her is such a pleasant experience. I recommend her highly!! I wouldn't go anywhere else but Barbara. I'm willing to bet you won't receive this high level of service or care somewhere else. To find her office, head to the SECOND floor via elevators or escalators and look for signs pointing you to 2B Suites or the B Wing. She's in room B237. read more
