The next issue is this place does not have ideal availability. Even for a cleaning it'll take over a month to get in. New client appointments can take longer to get into. I have…read moreexperienced ongoing issues with multiple fillings, including having to get them redone repeatedly. Dr.Candace does not take her time and rushes. I don't think she really cares. After seeking care from a new dentist, I was informed that several of my fillings were not done correctly and needed to be replaced. The shape and fit of the fillings were off, which has caused continued problems. In one case, a filling was done improperly in a way that allows food particles to become trapped underneath it, leading to an unpleasant odor and concern about long-term dental health. These issues point to a lack of precision and attention to detail in the work performed. Dental procedures, especially fillings, should be done correctly the first time to avoid unnecessary complications and additional treatment. I hope Arena Dental Group takes steps to improve the quality and accuracy of their dental work to prevent other patients from experiencing similar issues. I paid for a lot of my fillings out of pocket due to insurance maxing out just for them to be done incorrectly. Now I'll have to pay again to get them redone. Not to mention they will reschedule your appointment without notifying you. I showed up several times and the office was closed during regular business hours. Overall just not the greatest care I've received.

I normally don't care for dentist but he's patient and understanding when it comes to those with anxiety. I'd recommend this office to others but they're also available with other offices throughout the city. Also if you're trying to get a Saturday appointment it's super hard to get in because those appointments fill up fast but luckily they're open late on weekdays Here to get a temporary filling taken out and the permanent put in. I'm a little disappointed I don't have the usual assistant because she is always on top of things. No notes are in my file so I'm in here telling this assistant today everything that's been done to my mouth and the issues I've experienced. His demeanor isn't the best I'm not sure if it's too early for him or not but it's a little unsettling. Just waiting for Dr Shearin now who's memory is really good with myself and others I know.

I had a root canal about five years ago and three years ago the tooth woke me up with a searing,…read moreelectrifying, throbbing pain, that spread to the entire right side of my mouth. I went to a dentist who gave me antibiotics and told me I could either have the tooth extracted or see if the pain subsides and if it does do nothing for now. The pain went away and did not come back for three years until two weeks ago, the same pain. I went to my dentist and she said that maybe the tooth was cracked or the dentist who did the root canal didn't remove all of the canals. She recommended I have the tooth extracted and get an implant, this came up to about $5,000. I told a co-worker about my situation and she recommended that I get a second opinion and referred me to her dentist Gary L. Johnson. I was able to get an early morning appointment the next day! The entire staff was extremely friendly. Dr. Johnson examined my tooth and offered two options, one get a 360 degree x-ray of my tooth to have the best view of its condition and if the Endodontist recommends it, have the tooth retreated or go ahead and have the tooth extracted, get an implant, and be done with it. Dr. Johnson referred me to Drs. Navid Akbar and Elias Haddad. After the 360 degree x-ray it was determined that the retreatment had an 80% chance of success and if I did the retreatment the dentist could get a better view of the condition of the tooth, i.e is it cracked. The dentist let me know that even after the retreatment there was a chance the tooth could become re-infected and at that time the only option would be to have the tooth extracted and replaced with an implant. I decided to do the most conservative and least expensive option first (360 degree e-ray, root canal retreatment, and crown came to about $1,100). The doctor said the procedure went great! Hopefully this will be the end of it. However, if a few years from now the tooth becomes re-infected and I have to have it removed I am still glad that I had a more conservative option I could take first. I don't want to lose any of my teeth even if I can get an implant. I am so thankful to Dr. Johnson because he gave me options to try that left the most radical thing as a last resort. He is also very friendly. The two weeks prior to seeing Dr. Johnson were very scary because I was in pain, I was in the process of moving, I had a lot of work to do, and I didn't want to have my tooth extracted, but I didn't think there was any other option.
