Where to begin. Well first let's state facts, My car was towed here for window glass repair on driver's door. Car got here Monday June 1 2015 They never told me what they were doing to my car. My insurance adjuster inspected car Tuesday June 2. My car is towed back to me Thursday June 11. I was made to drive the car from the tow truck myself. They made me pay the $100 deductible in cash. The car had glass shards on the floor, trim panels, and the divers seat was dirty. The driver side door panel was installed incorrectly or not the right size. There is glass inside the driver's door. The glass is not OEM and not tinted to match the front passenger window glass. That's all minor compared to the fact that when I drove off, I noticed my car sounded loud and had no acceleration. I go to a normal mechanic who says I have a broken muffler. Obd2 scanner shows missing sensors. The car has all the indications of a stolen and replaced exhaust system. Going to where I bought the car tomorrow to get inspection reports and will present reports and findings to insurance and file a claim in Staten island small claims court against Progressive and A-1 expressway. Progressive has to pay to bring my Car to the condition it was in before the break in and criminal theft in Staten island. They were smart about it. They replaced my 2010 Rav 4 exhaust with that from a much older rav. They removed my o2 sensors or reprogrammed my car. Obd 2 scanner shows no error codes but catalytic function doesn't display. Hcat and air indicators on readiness check show no sensors. These criminals are professional thrives. If they tried as hard at doing right by people as they did in screwing me over, they might have a good repair facility. Its a shame some people have no sense of ethics. Sincerely, Tax paying, law abiding citizen.

5-Star Review for State of the Art Automotive…read more I recently brought in my Honda CR-V to State of the Art Automotive after the right side had taken some damage from a stolen vehicle running away from the State Police, hitting the right side of my car, and leaving it with a combination of dents and scratches that definitely needed professional attention. From the moment I arrived, Joe was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He walked me through the repair process and gave me a very reasonable estimate and timeline. What impressed me was how quickly and efficiently his team completed the job -- just 5 days! And the results? Absolutely flawless. The right side of my car looks brand new -- no signs of damage at all. They blended the paint perfectly, restored the original contour of the panels, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. They even cleaned my headlights (which will hopefully make me a better driver, lol). He also kept me updated with photos during the process, which I really appreciated. It gave me confidence that my car was in great hands. I highly recommend State of the Art Automotive for anyone needing quality autobody work -- they're fast, honest, and take pride in their work. Huge thanks to Joe and his whole team!

STAY AWAY from State of the Art Automotive Inc. The owner/tow truck driver (first red flag) whose…read morename is Joseph Rivieccio, is nothing but a liar. If this person MAGICALLY pops up with his tow truck when you're vulnerable and in time of need, SAY NO! I was coerced into using this "business" (I use that term very lightly) under the ruse of a waived deductible. Pay your deductible at a REAL SHOP..... it's worth it! I assure you, every poor review is true. None of those reviews were made about the wrong company. That's just the owner doing what he does, lying. Joe provided an estimate of 22 days for completion. It took 201 days, which included 6 months of rental fees. Joe also said he would reimburse me for those fees (I have it in writing), ANOTHER LIE. He covered 2 of the 6 months. Joe started telling me on day 30 of 201 that my truck would be completed within the week. He then went on to LIE about completion another 32 times over nearly 7 months, never once reaching out to me..... I always had to chase him for another lie. On the 201st day, after countless attempts to retrieve my vehicle, Joe then cowardly dropped my INCOMPLETE brand new American-made Vehicle to a third party mechanic to avoid taking responsibility for his incompetence and LIES. Joe will blame delays on anyone and everyone except himself, including back ordered parts, and then he'll lie to you about it. Please save yourself from endless aggravation and use a real body shop, not this sham of a business.
