Having an accident is never a good experience. I was involved in one on July 12th 2024 in Staten Island. Thank God no one was hurt. My car was un-drivable. After the police report, my car was taken by Joe (a kind and caring person) to EXPRESSWAY Collision located 211 Vetereand Road W. in Staten Island. STAY AWAY....UNLESS YOUR CAR NEEDS VERY LITTLE WORK DONE..!!! Had an accident....car was not drivable...AAA came... I told the tow driver to go to a location few blocks away. But the (Breen Bros.Towing sevice) driver fast talked me to take it to "his man...becuase he'll fix it" several miles away. (They must have a deal to bring in unsuspecting out of town people) Arriving at Expressway Collision...Danny tells me it will run about $10,000 to fix if he could find the parts...He suggested to crush it and walk away. I asked him to go ahead and try to fix it....He said NO....not interested...no reason why. But I guess just LAZY and UNPROFFESIONAL..too much work.!!! The engine had nothing wrong with it...just a a punctured oil pan and punctured fuel tank... He also said there was a crack in the engine cradle and the engine could fall if we hit a big bump....??? On top of that while I ordered a private tow service to take it to my mechanic in Kentucky...they charged me two days storage fee. My mechanic fixed it a week for $1000...not $10,000 and oh yes...that crack turned out to be just a little SCRATCH in the grease on the Cradle. Where to begin. Well first let's state facts, My car was towed here for window glass repair on driver's door. Car got here Monday June 1 2015 They never told me what they were doing to my car. My insurance adjuster inspected car Tuesday June 2. My car is towed back to me Thursday June 11. I was made to drive the car from the tow truck myself. They made me pay the $100 deductible in cash. The car had glass shards on the floor, trim panels, and the divers seat was dirty. The driver side door panel was installed incorrectly or not the right size. There is glass inside the driver's door. The glass is not OEM and not tinted to match the front passenger window glass. That's all minor compared to the fact that when I drove off, I noticed my car sounded loud and had no acceleration. I go to a normal mechanic who says I have a broken muffler. Obd2 scanner shows missing sensors. The car has all the indications of a stolen and replaced exhaust system. Going to where I bought the car tomorrow to get inspection reports and will present reports and findings to insurance and file a claim in Staten island small claims court against Progressive and A-1 expressway. Progressive has to pay to bring my Car to the condition it was in before the break in and criminal theft in Staten island. They were smart about it. They replaced my 2010 Rav 4 exhaust with that from a much older rav. They removed my o2 sensors or reprogrammed my car. Obd 2 scanner shows no error codes but catalytic function doesn't display. Hcat and air indicators on readiness check show no sensors. These criminals are professional thrives. If they tried as hard at doing right by people as they did in screwing me over, they might have a good repair facility. Its a shame some people have no sense of ethics. I don't even know where to start. I read the reviews chose this shop and my nightmare began. 1st pay attention to the # of reviews I missed it ONLY 15 at the time and all amazingly GREAT. How many years you been in business? 15 reviews ONLY!!! My weeks turned into months they milked my insurance for over $10000 I had to constantly hear about all their personal issues including who's out because of family member drug addiction. I was patient I was kind I was empathetic all of which just caused me a lot of frustration in the end. FINALLY pick up day. Parts not properly attached primer still in trunk dust still in the leather seats I had custom done door panel loose door handle loose door doesn't close properly 2019 Mustang they look like they just cut and paste how to fix it OWNER offered 2 way tape. UGH NO. Oh not to mention when I arrived he was dealing with another disgruntled customer. Had my insurance payments since June and July Paperwork for parts August and September so now have to bring to another shop to get it done right and file suit. REALLY DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER ..the cover was AMAZING the chapters in the book not so good. read more
