GO!!! the customer service in this salon is phenomenal. Found them online through a friend and immediately book and appointment with a stylist! My hair is insane and hard to work with because it's been previously colored etc... however, the stylist Joan did her best and got me to a brighter look, I did however the next day noticed something I didn't like and she took me back the and fixed the issue I had! The owner of the salon I believe (Tara ) apologized for the little tiny imperfection and it was just overall a great experience. 10/10 would recommend. read more

nafi is the best hair stylist and actually cares about the integrity of your hair. she is so sweet and caring.

First and last time customer. I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted and she took 15 min to give me her version and claim it was exactly like the picture. Not even close. And when I tried to redirect her to what I wanted while she was cutting, she wouldn't listen. I will keep looking elsewhere for a new stylist. read more

Owner of the salon is very rude and unprofessional. Openly heard her talk about her use of marijuana and also overheard her talk about another client as soon as she walked out the door. Started becoming so annoyed with her attitude that I started seeing my stylist at home. I no longer want to walk foot in that door. Nafi, my hair stylist, is seriously beyond AMAZING! She knows her clients well & is a very experienced hair stylist. To get an appointment, it is very easy, she always has avalibility for me & never has me waiting as other salons do. She gets my hair super blonde each and every time I have an appointment & if you show her a picture of what you want, she matches it at 100%. She converses with her clients & does not make you feel uncomfortable. There are some hair salons that make you feel awkward and uncomfortable and this is def not the one! Express Yourself is such a friendly environment & I cannot wait to go next month to darken my hair for the fall/winter. 10/10 hair salon. read more

Ok so I read another review on Grosha that says her hair experience is still junior. I highly disagree. I can not express how professional she was. Her color skills are the best I've ever seen. I was a straight dye your hair with black box dye. Which is the worst thing you can do lol . When I first came to her we talked about the process and how long it would take to get to where I want to be, very realistic and she uses the best products. The salon is so clean and the other woman were also extremely nice ! Bottom line every penny is worth it with her. read more

The owner is a miserable person! She doesn't care about her customers. Had highlights done and they over processed my hair. The person that did my hair was a lady who spoke another language (maybe Russian not sure). She was clearly talking about me in her language with another employee. She attempted to fix my over processed highlights with toner. While doing so she left me with dripping wet hair and the back door was open (this was in the winter). I was freezing. I was shivering and I mentioned that I was cold. The owner shrugged. A shampoo lady saw me and put a cap on my head. This helped but neither the owner or the lady that was doing my hair cared to do anything. The owner charged me for the toner even though it was colorist fault for over processing my hair. She only takes cash by the way... I had a bad experience there previously some guy named Tommy did my hair and he had terrible body odor. I should have never went back. They never got my hair right. DON'T GO THERE. THE OWNER AND HER EMPLOYEES ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE! read more

It was my first time coming to this salon. I had Tommy, an amateur hair dresser. Barely any words were exchanged throughout my entire stay... Literally. I introduced myself, sat down and told him what I wanted which was a baylayge then he starting working. However, the results weren't actually what I got. After dying, washing my hair and taking off my wet towel, he didn't even comment saying anything like oh, looks nice or oh, doesn't look like the bleach really took effect... There was merely no conversation at all. I sat there really quiet the whole time and did not comment because at that point I just wanted to leave. I was upset when I left the salon. It looks like I have brown highlights and ashy blonde spots in some areas. The thing that pissed me off the most was at the very end, after my hair was blown out and I was ready to go he asks, "So do you like the color?". I was very honest telling him this wasn't what I expected but I understood the fact that there are sessions but there are parts of my hair that are brown and parts that are ashy blonde like wtf? I thought about calling the salon to see what another hair stylist can do to fix this mess but I feel at this point, I need to see a real professional to get results I want, for the money I spent ($200 plus tip) and for the hair stylist to be upfront and communicating with me so we are on the same page instead of dealing with an amateur, aspiring hair dresser. I do want to add Tommy smelled like a dirty, damp towel. You know when you wash towels and don't dry them properly? Yes, that dirty smell. Also, I wish I went with my gut to go with Grosha but she was booked. She seems talented. Other that that, the place is clean and cozy. This place was fantastic! I received greet service from the moment I walked in to the moment I got out. I was greeted by everyone and taken on time; I even shared some laughs with the shampoo lady which I was happy about because I dislike going to salons where the shampoo lady is rough or not attentive, she represented them nicely. I went to Grosha because her work is amazing and she knows what she is doing. So professional and listened to what I wanted and also gave me her input on making my hair healthy and getting it to a Healthy length. Grosha asked me about my hair history and recommended products for my hair and www very kind. I cut my hair into a short bob and it couldn't be any cuter, I even want to cut some more haha. I must say I truly Love this salon. Everyone is so friendly and loving. Grosha is currently my hair stylist and I can say that with confidence. I can honestly say I have hopped around with hair dressers trying to find the right person to work with me on getting me to the color I desired. I am extremely picky with my hair color. I didn't want to write a review off my first experience because sometimes the first time can go good but thennnnnnn things change. So I have gone to Grosha about 4 times and I can honestly say my hair is full and the healthiest it has ever been. I was skeptical at first because she is young but her hands are magic. I went to Grosha to get my hair blonde and once I was the color I wanted I decided to go red, then got tired of red and wanted my blonde back. (Don't judge me :P ) I am currently blond and loving every minute of it. I love Grosha she truly is God sent. read more
