We had to ask her for cutlery for the kids, whom they consider at their leisure to be a head count for their added 5-top automatic 20%gratuity ... $7 fries that wouldn't even feed one 3year old. Portions that our kids size, and I didn't even get to the two best parts.... Ketchup pad Thai that gives you heartburn, children sleeping with the jitters, and a household of tummy aches. So much for three entrees, an appetizer, and two side of fries for $124 for ketchup and heartburn. And to top it all off a hostess with the most attitude one has ever met. Which is bizarre because coming from someone who lived and spent time in Thailand, truly unbecoming from their culture... but I guess I was bound to meet my first rude Thai native here on Hilton head island in our very own Main Street plaza. My meal had a lot of cashews, chicken, and vegetables. I can't get shrimp toast where I usually go so when I am craving it, I come to Panda. No broccoli with my order and when I asked, was shown the menu where the picture was and it was explained that was the dinner option but the lunch option does not include broccoli. Nevermind that the dinner options were on the reverse side of the menu. ‍ Also, the restaurant was HOT inside and there were a couple randomly placed tables. A bunch of boxes in the corner from the neighboring liquor store. The chicken was just OK. They gave me pork fried rice (as opposed to white) which I don't love anyway so I won't speak to how it tasted because I'm not a fan so can't compare it to anything I would consider good. They had an interesting Philly Steak egg roll which seemed like a weird thing to have here in SC at a Chinese restaurant, but we tried it and it was also OK. Likely won't be back. Partly because we don't live locally, but we'll vacation here again and skip this place when we return.

Hey Folks, Are you…read morefeeling the need for Asian cuisine? Well you can scratch your Chinese food itch here at China Express. Yea, maybe not my best choice of words when extolling and encouraging others to dine at a restaurant, got it! We have eaten China Express's very good takeout food over five different times and we have all enjoyed it each and every time. This is a Family restaurant which is welcoming and friendly. Their decor is done in Modern American Takeout. So you know, you've been there, done that. But who cares, you are picking up and taking out. All the dishes we have eaten are delicious, and what I enjoy the most is I can taste all the different savory flavors in their food instead as with some Asian Restaurants only being able to taste salt. So if you feel you need a Chinese restaurant takeout upgrade or you just feel like trying another Asian restaurants' fare, then stop by and give it a try. Enjoy

The pad Thai was overly peanut buttery sweet. There was no spice and no spice tray I am accustomed to other than a chili paste which doesn't enhance any flavor. I feel bad to leave such a review, but I'd either try something else on the menu, or skip.
