So my car had been emitting smoke, so I give him a call and I ask him beforehand if I can just get a free estimate so I can shop around if needed, and to check in with my mom for an "okay". He told me it's okay, so I went ahead and brought my car in. After I got the estimate, it was not within our budget, so I kindly told him I wasn't going to use his services. He then tells me "Do me a favor...and never come here again." I was so shocked, I didn't know what to say, and just left. I would have understood his frustration, if I didn't ask him beforehand. He can tell you whats wrong just by your description and 9 times out of 10 he is absolutely correct! Case in point, we were told by another guy that we need tire alignment, a new drive shaft, and maybe steering column because the suv was loose on bumps. Yes we could use a little adjustment on the alignment, but it was due to extremely low tire pressure! Something that doesn't cost more than $.25 at gas station!
