He was able to come by a few hours later, he had what I needed in stock and completed the replacement efficiently. While he was at our home I asked a lot of questions about my door and opener quality and I feel he provided a very honest opinion. His comment on the door is that it is a lower quality (builder spec) door but not to worry about changing it until there is an issue. He noted some potential future issues with the door (of which I was already aware but I just wanted a professional opinion). Don is obviously focused on service quality to his customer and not on selling them something they do not need. I respect that a great deal as I find this business/service quality very rare and difficult to find in Calgary. I will definitely call Don again for any garage door service I require and I strongly recommend him to everyone I know. Thank you Don!

The…read moreservice tech (Mike) was very quick at "fixing" what was just a sensor that had come off the rail. He showed me how to fix it myself in the future. With that, three minutes after his arrival, my door was fixed and working again. But instead of just leaving, since he was already there and had to charge me for the callout, he also adjusted the height and chain, lubricated it, and also pointed out some future potential problems I should be on the look out for. The person who took my call was very courteous and helpful, and, as I said, response time was phenomenal. Mike was excellent, and I appreciated his work, ethic, and personability. I'll definitely be calling them in the future when I need more repairs.

He removed the two long springs and replaced them with four shorter springs that appeared to have been used (see photo). The young man was clearly over his head as it took him the better part of two hours to complete the work; he spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone getting assistance. In the process he damaged the rail, bending it with pliers so the door would travel the entire distance; however it was very noisy. Garage Door Bill ~$950.00. I immediately called Action Doors, Calgary to repair the damage. The service technician from Action appeared within an hour. He removed the four springs and replaced with two new springs designed for the Action Door. The garage door was now functioning smoothly. Bill: $372.00. I tracked down one of the owners of the company about my concerns. He was very argumentative and threatening.
