We decided to host a Blessing of the Animals in Palm Springs, California, on the feast day of St Francis of Assisi, October 4. During the parade of the animals, each is blessed, sprinkled with holy water and given a medal of St Francis of Assisi to wear on its collar. However, we waited too long before finalizing our plans, so we failed to order the Saint Francis of Assisi medals until the last moment. By then, we found no medals from local suppliers at a reasonable price. Even online at Amazon Prime, each medal costs more than $2.00. Yesterday, we called Rosary House and learned that the price of each medal is only $0.50. The Rosary House representatives, Holly and Anne, were extremely helpful and pleasant. After a long conversation, we ordered the medals, and Anne arranged for shipping with UPS Next Day Air. Our medals arrived this morning, one day before the Blessing of the Animals. Rosary House gets 4 Stars, for the great selection, prices and helpful and pleasant staff. The only shortcoming is the website, www.RosaryHouse.com The website has only Contact info. It shows no inventory, product or price information, and it has no method to purchase online. Holly said that the website is being updated.
