very disappointing experience with this recruiter I was repeatedly told that I would be contacted when positions became available, but when openings were posted, my messages and follow-ups were ignored. Being told one thing and then receiving no communication was unprofessional and disappointing. read more

DONT LET THIS AGENCY WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! So I spoke to a lady there named Valerie Valenzuela. She scheduled a phone interview at 830am. We'll no call no email to reschedule. Very unprofessional how is a agency who claims they are helping job seekers look for employment really being of service to people who are seeking work. How do they themselves as a Recruiter feel good not doing your job. Don't waste people's time. Do better. I will make sure to not recommend this agency to anyone I know. read more

Honestly just leaving a review because I received a call from this very rude unprofessional lady called Cici this morning. She says to me "are you still looking for work we found an entry level position you might be interested in". She made a joke under her breath to me and I requested her to speak up and she brushed it off very rudely and continued to pitch the job offer she had at hand for me. But the point of this is that I applied for express employment years ago. Years ago. This is just to let you know how terrible they are at their jobs. Like really? I applied years ago and you're just calling me now about a little entry position years later? Lol more of an insult really. This should let you know they aren't doing enough for the people looking for employment. They just aren't. They must be big chillin in their office. How are you going to call someone back years later to offer them an opening for an entry level position. These express employees are honestly lazy and just unprofessional. Don't come here folks. Go to another agency that will care for you more profoundly than this staff. read more

When I was job searching earlier this year, I submitted my resume through their website in hopes of getting a call from them to go over my resume and discuss any relevant job opportunities. While I did get a callback voicemail from a lady working here, I called back the same number and left a voicemail too when they did not answer. And I never got a second callback from them. They are unprofessional and don't know how to handle job searcher candidates who submit their resume through their poorly made website. I would not recommend using this employment agency AT ALL. read more

Terrible communication skills from the office and staff regarding picking up checks and where to go for the pick up. I had called and messaged before going to the place to pick up my check when they tell me i cant because of direct deposit only when i get to the place. When i asked about why the lady couldn't really give me an apology until after the fact i said that i called the recruiter beforehand to double check. Just doesn't make sense to me. Lack of communication and way too complicated with which offices in the area since they just send mass messages incorrectly half the time read more

I went to this place this morning (11/27/2023) and the woman who I thought would help me discouraged me from pursuing a career that I am trained for stating: "Let me tell you how this works, we don't make the job fit you, we make you fit the job. Like I would like to own the Lakers but we know that's not going to happen, right?" I don't know if this woman is qualified to own the Lakers or not, but I know that I am qualified for the jobs I was asking her to help me get. She was rude and is obviously in the wrong line of work. On Google this organization claims being a place that helps people. Help is not what I got. She said that I should keep my current job even after I expressed that I am not happy there. read more

This company was very gracious and kind with helping me with my questions and concerns. I plan to come back and apply for a job.

First time here. The receptionist greeted me with a smile. I then moved on the a phone interview with a recruiter who asked me a few questions. After that I did paperwork that was easy and fun to do. I never received a call back even after calling the office three days straight and being told that I would receive a call regarding employment or continuing the application process. read more

Horrible! Lied about the experience I needed. DO NOT GO HERE! You would be better off attaching your resume to messenger pigeon. That would probably be more helpful! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! read more

I recently received help from Jonathan Trejo and i could not be happier with the outcome! Jonathan was efficient and communicative in every step of the process. I was overwhelmed and felt defeated in my job search and i feel extremely happy and grateful for Jonathan! Thank you so much! read more

Worst agency ever they send me out for an interview physical and back round check for 2 jobs, and still nothing to this day it's been over 4 weeks. Every time I call to speak to the person that's is"supposedly" helping me the receptionist tells me she's in a meeting no matter what time of day it is, and if I do speak to her she tells me to call back Tomorrow or she tells me about other jobs but then she doesn't follow up with me about them or anything and I still don't have a job with them. I'm not the only person ether I have met other people that have applied with them for complete different type of work environment then me and they haven't gotten a job ether. But I don't think the problem is Express in general I just think it's that location or the people that work there just don't cares out anything other then there check or the gossip going on at the office read more

The process was easy and fast. Everyone was really nice and very comforting. If you are seeking for a job you should come to Express apply.

Came here looking for employment after going to a different staffing agency who sent me to apply online and it was a breath of fresh air in comparison. Even though they told me they didn't have any entry level positions available right away they sat me down with a recruiter who inputted all my information over the phone for me, which was so nice since doing it yourself is painstaking and tedious. If you're looking for work check it out and see if they can help. Everyone is super friendly and nice. read more

Best agent in the agency a humble person and persistent to help me find a job on what I have experience in! Had an interview today and was hired after a couple hours. I would recommend him to everyone I know that is in search of a job... I'll be forever grateful for his service! Once again ask for Johnatan! He knows what's his doing.. other agencies never paid attention and were sending me somewhere else until I discovered this place. Jonathan! Your the best! Thank you!! On behalf of Alma read more

This is the only agency I've been to that allows you to complete an application over the phone! When I came in, I spoke to the phone recruiter, she took all my info, I only had to complete a few pages, watched a safety video, and met a recruiter in person. They went over what I was looking for, my skills, and once I was hired they offered me a job. In and out in about an hour. Speedy, not a lot of fuss and a focus on ME. Very Happy! read more

No desire to really help. Full of excuses. I tried applying for a $13 per hour job and was asked if i have an Aerospace experience. What?! I said i just wanted to work and would be happy to take whatever they had available. I am not above getting my hands dirty at a lower rate of pay than i am use to. Sounded like Jonathan just wanted to get me off the phone. How could i take him seriously when he was asking me if i had experience required for $30 per hour jobs. I emailed Yessica and she doesn't even have the courtesy to respond "Okay". Nothing. Just ignored completely. No acknowledgment of receipt at all. read more

I went in and applied about four months ago and i still havent been offered any type of work. If they do have anything it's far away. Why advertise and post positions on craigslist you dont have? My recruiter "jonathon" never returned any calls or ever had any jobs. He's always rude and sarcastic, don't waste two hours here doing pointless paperwork. Select staffing in city of industry always has work only that it's not permanent. The supervisor really needs to get rid of these usless "recruiters" and put some actual helpful people that actually do their job. read more

I saw an ad in craigslist for a data entry position so I replied to the e-mail. The same day, a couple hours later, I get a phone call from this temp agency about the job. I go into their office to fill out paperwork and take the typing tests. Environment of the office: all spanish magazines in the waiting area, all the employees are chatting about shoes and shopping, none of the employees are paying attention to people walking in to sign up with their agency. Total time spent there: 2 hours (mostly just sitting and waiting for paperwork and the typing tests). Job assignment and complaint: I went on my assignment to work a seasonal data entry position. After my assignment was over (1st week of September), I was instructed NOT to return to the job site to pick up my personal belongings but that the recruiter (Abigail) would pick them up for me and I could collect them at their office. I called weekly to see if my stuff was ready for pick up. Four weeks later she finally says I can come gather my personal belongings. I go to the office to find out that there are some items missing: pens, pencils and my mouse. Abigail says she will mail me the remainder of my belongings. I kept calling them to find out where my stuff was. On Friday, October 28th, 2011, I received a package in the mail. It was NOT my stuff. I specifically told them what was missing back in September: a Logitech optical mouse USB port brand new with the original plastic bag that it came in with the serial number sticker on the bag, and a detailed description and location of where my pens and pencils were. In the mail I get 2 mechanical pencils that are company stock, and an HP dirty mouse with ps2 port and old style ball mouse, not optical. I called today, Monday, October 31, 2011 and Abigail says that she will not be able to gather my pens and pencils because other people have already sat at the desk where I once sat and the mouse is not there. Well of course she can't find my items because over two months have passed! Another employee must have taken my items by now! I have left a message for the office manager to look into this complete disorganization. How can their employees be so un-detailed oriented? I gave her specific detail as to what was missing, what to look for, and where to look for it. Next step is to call corporate and file a formal complaint. Now the items that are missing were birthday presents and cannot be replaced from a trip to the store. It's NOT the same. This office location is VERY unorganized and VERY unprofessional. read more

I went to this office to apply for a job this summer and the ladies in the office were professional and efficient. I needed work. They found me work. You go into the office, take some test of basic skills, get interviewed, and go to work. It was simple, the staff was cool. Heads up: you have to have the legal right to work in America, they ask for papers. Can't be on Meth, they drug test you. read more

I really love this agency. The staff is very friendly. Marlene helped me with the hiring process and was patient, sincere and answered any question that I had. In all honesty, ALL the staff was friendly. I recommend this agency to anyone near the Covina area. Initially, I wasn't cooperative because I needed valid documents, I only had copies. They were calm and patient with me throughout and were happy I came back with the required documents and helped me right away. Thank you all for your help. Update as of April 25th, 2016: I really love the job provided by the agency. It's a simple warehouse job in Chino. However, I see the cons, and they aren't a few, within the office. Before my first day of work, I turned in some paperwork to the lady at the front desk that deals with direct deposit. So my banking information is there. I get a call from Soma a week later saying I didn't turn it in and she called about it a few times. Wonderful. I already know where this flight is taking me. They basically lost it. I told her I turned it in and she said she'll take a look at it. Another week passes and she tells me the exact same thing in which I told her the exact same response. She simply says she doesn't have it and I would need to turn in a new one. I'm a very patient person, but this is now testing it because I am very punctual and did my part. Granted, everyone is imperfect and I understand that, so I let it slide. I'll simply have he checks mailed to me a few days later, boo hoo. Here's where it gets fun. EVERY SINGLE TIME I ask for someone specific in the office, I get a "Whose this?" and a "What is this regarding?" I want to speak with the person I'm asking for, I don't need to explain myself. The individual is the one who went through the process with me and I only want her answering my questions, not Soma, Johnathan or anyone else. Simple as that. That has happened for the winning streak of 4 times. And yes, I'm trying to be a bit sarcastic and humorous because this covers any extreme negativity I had with this situation. Now, here's the icing on the cake. We had an agreed wage. The check comes in the mail, it's wrong. It's short. The hourly wage wasn't the one we agreed one. Now I'm upset. I called the next day and again asked for a specific person. You guessed it, "Who is this and what is this regarding." I tell them, "Oh, she's not here right now." Can't you tell me that right on the spot? Thanks! And from what my other coworkers say, they experience the same thing and have shortages on their checks as well. What was an initially good and great experience turned to stress and test of my patience. They said that they'll fix my check and it never happened. I had to take a day off on Friday so I can go in person. I'll update how that goes after the experience. Update as of May 9th, 2016: The issue was fixed swiftly with the errors on the check and I appreciate the help the office gave to correct the problems. If I may offer a tip for people looking at this agency, always be alert and pay close attention to double check everything is correct. Again, we're all imperfect, but money is important, especially on a check. Thanks. read more

the staff are nice and hard working people. Jonathon found me a job on the same day. other employment agencies have nothing on this one.

Waste of time! Yesenia proceeded to define "recent job history" as I was clearly in my most recent job longer than she's been alive. Just open up your own business if you have any experience or waste you time here. Job ethic has changed. They would rather tell you an employees wants to know that you've gone from working all over and have not decided if the J.O.B. fits you. If I was a hiring manager with any warewithall I would chose the person that needs work and does the job, and shows up on time, not someone that jumps around undecided. If you are an employeer that hires through Express, don't expect great workers. If you need work, own your own business if you can. Hope this helps you to not get punked at Express "waste of time" Employment read more
