I've only used maybe a dozen different insurance brokers & agencies over the past several decades…read moreof having policies, but my impression from my interaction with Bisson is that they are an outstanding agency. Every time I've called, & I really wish that was "never," they've been helpful & responsive. They've readily answered questions and have tailored a package for me. I really like their friendly, neighborly, attitude.
On top of the helpfulness, customization, and ready willingness to provide information, I found myself in a situation recently that required me to obtain insurance for a 3rd party due to unusual circumstances. I figured I'd sneak around their back & get a bunch of quotes before called them to see what they "could do for me," & thus I'd be armed to "negotiate" from a position of knowledge. THAT little plot of mine failed. I called half a dozen other companies, the one's whose names you see advertised on television, and due to the unusual circumstances this 3rd party found themselves in, none of the big names wanted to even insure the property. Fresh off my failure as proto-insurance agent, I called Bisson. They found a company & got a policy that went into effect at midnight that evening. I was able to accomplish this because of them, & essentially had wasted my time & effort trying to duplicate what they did seemingly effortlessly. I mean, my attempts to get a quote on my own involved effort, but my interaction with Bisson was pleasant & virtually effortless.
Now, all that said, I really wish they worked longer hours. This whole banker's-hours thing is annoying. That's my one gripe. If that's a show-stopper for you, this might not be "your" ideal agency. In my case, I've found their superlative service exceeds my requirement for "off hours" access. But Bisson, if you pay attention to Yelp reviews, IGNORE ALL THAT, & rotate somebody for evening &/or weekend shift. Even if it's just one person, that's an infinity percent more than "zero." Just a suggestion.
