I'd like to express my satisfaction with the Explora-Cadiz diving experience and it's owner, Juan, for a very fun & enjoyable day underwater recently. For the first family diving excursion with my two kids we selected their one tank trip down the southern Andalucian coast to the beach of the town of "Tarifa." I've known Tarifa previously for its famous wind surfing and very beautiful natural beaches, but now got to enjoy its undersea charms. On the day of our trip Juan picked us up at his Hotel Puerto Sherry dive center (in the city of El Puerto de Santa Maria) for the 70 minute coastal drive. Water conditions at Tarifa are some of the best in Spain I learned, (as others in our group came from as far as Madrid), and on this day we had approximately 40 foot visibility. Tarifa is cold water, full wetsuit diving during winter / spring; and the gear that Explora Cadiz included in the excursion price was very adequate and well maintained. The total package price was VERY reasonable I thought Terrific also describes the pace and competence with which Juan leads his dive groups. All of us in my family are newbie divers (under 10 total dives) and he took this into full account(e.g., always checking on me regularly, getting tank air readings and good safety stops ascending, etc.). One thing to take into account is that you should know some Spanish, as I do, as I can't comment on the level of English spoken at this dive company SO, in summary if you're lucky enough to be in the Cadiz province of Spain and are looking for a reputable PADI dive shop offering good rental gear and experienced Dive Masters I was very satisfied here.
