The cruise ship gave us a cabin that was right above a bar and Autumn felt it would be too noisy, especially since my child sleeps around 9pm. She moved our cabin up one floor, so we would have cabins above and below us. This meant no loud noise from the bar below. Truly five-star. Every staff member on board made us feel special. My husband, who wasn't sure he'd enjoy cruising, is already talking about doing it again--Alaska or Norway next! From airport to hotel, cruise ship to hotel--at all hours of the day, in multiple countries--our drivers were always early, professional, and courteous. It made the whole experience feel effortless. Tuscany was magical. I was unfortunately sick for two days, but that slower pace ended up being a blessing in disguise. My husband unplugged from work and finally relaxed. We played golf, went on walks, relearned backgammon, read books, and soaked in the stunning views. We still managed to make it to Siena and a local winery, which was the perfect little outing. THANK YOU Ms. Marta Mott and Expedia Cruises for all you have done for us. Initially Marta helped my husband and I with booking a Danube River Cruise and put a nice travel package together. Marta was always available to answer my questions and provided lots of useful information. Couple of times I texted Ms. Mott not knowing that she was on vacation and she promptly responded. Booking our vacation and answering questions are just a small part of what Marta did for us. After flying to Budapest and spending 2 pre-cruise nights there, we were informed by the cruise-line that all Danube cruises got canceled due to high water levels! We were very disappointed and felt trapped as the roads getting out of Budapest were closed due to the flood, as well as all trains stoped traveling out of Budapest. It was BAD! During that chaotic time, Marta stayed in contact with us and did everything possible to help. We ended up flying to Spain (only way out of Budapest was flying) and spent a few days there before flying back home. It was not Marta's responsibility to help us, she booked us a cruise that got canceled due to bad weather. But being a kind, caring, classy human being Marta stayed in touch to make sure we were OK.
