So I went in, had a good chat with the staff, got my new phone, got the contacts transferred across there and then and I was off... you can't ask more than that... no time wasted, but nothing was rushed... other retailers should use this as a model of how things should be done. Sure, some people are Apple haters and I can sort of understand why... fanboys have a rose-tinted view of things and the company can be a tad over-confident on occasion, but when it comes to customer service I'm yet to experience better!
