We went on the Super Karts (the faster go karts) they were so much fun and at the end we got a print out of our race times! Then we went on the Drift Karts. The staff wet the drift track down and we got sideways around the whole track!! We played some Laser tag and went on their new ride the Gyroscope...was so dizzy when I got off!!! Then we raced the Slot Cars and rode the Bucking Bull. The kids played in the playground and jumped on the jumping castle, and also played Laser Tag and drove the slot cars with us. There was so much more to do there like Dodgem Cars, Mini Golf, Bowling, Sumo Wrestling and heaps more but we just ran out of time. We will definitely be going back again but will allow more time to do a bit of everything. You need at least 2 and a half hours to 3 hours if you want to try everything!! We got to compete against several other players in a multilevel indoor arena and each game was different. For the first game, we were divided into several different teams and competed to capture and destroy each other's home base. Strategy, quick feet and lots of squats will help you get through this one! The second game was 1-on-1 so every man for himself...this is when it got real crazy and there was NO safe zone to hide. I really enjoyed going to Darkzone and there are even free arcade machines though they are a bit outdated.

I knew where the cover was, how to slash a shot to maximise the effectiveness of the second-long firing period, where to snipe from above. I could duckwalk for about a mile at a time. Good times.

Zero Latency is a gaming experience that allows a player to fully submerge themselves into the gaming environment. Zero Latency is essentially zero lag time so as you move and turn, so does the gaming world around you. It was a pretty cool experience that lasted for about an hour. Spots are hard come by as there is only one warehouse space that accommodates only up to 6 players at any given time. When we arrived we were introduced to our host who went through all the rules, safety information and how to wear all the gear that creates this experience. He explained what we would see (or not see) as we moved through the transition between different levels so we would know what to expect and periodically would pause the game if one of the players were getting too close to each other. I don't want to ruin the actual game itself, but the first few steps you take once you have your pack on and your head gear in place is a bit weird and the graphics reminded me of old arcade games (I actually love that style so it was great). Even though the graphics may not compare to the realistic feel that most games have these days, once you started and got into the game it didn't matter. Something I enjoyed seeing was looking at my hands through the head gear and seeing myself as video game character, but even funnier was seeing my friends as video game characters. If you think you will smash into another player or the wall, fear not as the zero latency team has built in a virtual barricade within the game so you won't get too close to the wall and your gear has sensors that detect if you are too close to another player to avoid any collisions. I would definitely go back, but maybe not for a little while. We spoke to the crew who were really interested in hearing our feedback to improve the experience for future players and they also said they are working on some new gaming experiences. If you want to get up close and personal with a zombie, or prepare yourself for the zombie apocalypse, book a session. You won't regret it!
