I have great hesitation about returning to this place again, and I've been putting off writing this…read morereview for quite a while. I thought the front office staff was extremely welcoming, helpful and professional. Like a reviewer below, I wasn't able to get in as fast as I'd hoped, but - given the circumstances of the world right now - I didn't let that bother me too much. This clinic is close to home and convenient to drive to. I had been working with their PTA, Brandie, who unfortunately was condescending and visibly annoyed while working with me. She would giggle after making passive comments about me/my performance in order to present the comments as playful, which was extremely unsympathetic considering my physical situation and level of pain. I felt like she was mocking me. At one point she even angrily snapped "I'm trying to help you!" when I winced during therapy. I don't believe any professional should be snapping at patients simply for having a reaction to the pain. That's part of the job and a big part of therapy. I guess my facial expressions displeased her? Strange. If I decide to return I will be requesting to work only with other staff.

The front desk gals are super nice and professional. Biosports texts out same day reminders of…read moreappointments if you desire. The facility is good sized and has a lot of options for recovery in the way of pool, machines, massage, and floor equipment . I was lucky to get to work with Chris who has helped me through a number of challenges. I went in with a walker and now I am back to getting on with life as usual. I am healthier, stronger, and more flexible. Chris would listen to me when I said I found pain and we would work to remove it and keep on going. He would keep the workouts always changing and so it was never boring. Biosports has a lot of trainers. If you don't click with yours you could always ask for another one.

My husband and I have been patients of Byron Haney for over 30 years. I suppose you're wondering…read morewhy the low rating, if we stayed with him so long. It's because my husband wanted to keep seeing him. His "bedside manner" might have left something to be desired. He tends to blame patients for what's wrong with them: they're overweight, or they don't get enough exercise, or they drink, or they're promiscuous. But my husband thought he was competent. Then my husband's health began failing. He used to run five miles a day, but gradually he got so weak he could barely walk to the bathroom without getting dizzy and nauseous. He was referred to a sleep doctor in Yakima, who misdiagnosed him. He was referred to a heart doctor in Yakima, who, after numerous tests, suggested he needed physical therapy. Haney kept up his usual mantra: lose weight, get more exercise. He does not listen. This went on for at least ten years. My husband had to retire early. Finally, I begged Haney to do something. He sent us to the Mayo Clinic. After two weeks in Rochester, the doctors there said he had the second worst case of sleep apnea they had ever seen. By then, probably as a result, he also had atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure. They suggested we find a heart specialist in Washington State. So we went to Seattle. We saw a variety of specialists. My husband is now better. He did continue to see doctors at Family Health for minor issues, and those doctors have been helpful and competent. But after his last appointment with Family Health, we were told we couldn't return. Why? Because we had too many specialists (including an internist) taking care of us in Seattle. Therefore, Haney's clinic was no longer in complete control of my husband's care. This news didn't come from the doctor my husband had just seen, who had no problems with the arrangement. Instead, several hours later, we got a call from a nurse (probably a recent hire, since, over 30 years, I've noticed that the turnover among the staff is pretty high). She told us not to return. We could go, instead, to an urgent care facility. Knowing Haney as I do, I'm pretty sure this came from him. So if you enjoy being under the care of a self-righteous, anal retentive, condescending, parsimonious little man who thinks geriatric illnesses are "God's way of calling you home," and who, after 30 plus years, will tell you to take a hike because he can't be in complete charge, this is your guy.

They treat your issues like medical staff should, and they treat you like a human…read more I don't need doctors very often, but these guys have been my go-to for both emergencies like an infected cat bite to irregular checkups and medications. I have never felt pushed out the door by the doctor, but instead they make sure we both understand the problem and the treatment. I have even felt comfortable enough to take time on other small things like checking out a mole. I show up on time to check in and I have never waited. They are Christian but they have never pressured me to be.
