Luckily, since it was a Friday wedding, we were able to set up most of the decorations ourselves the day before and the staff did a great job of finishing up the setup the day of. I was very pleased with the staff packing up the entire venue at the end of the night and even packing it for us into my parent's vehicle! The venue has beyond amazing photo opportunities with the tree-lined road coming in and the hills and greenery in the back. We did our first look at the adorable stone potting shed out front. The food was delicious and had guests raving about it. We felt confident in the food having gone to PCC's wedding tasting event a few months before. Played 18 holes today at Granite Fields and even though my game was so so, my group enjoyed the…read morecourse. Fairways were a bit tight on some holes but not unplayable for the average golfer. The fairways and especially the greens were in great shape. Some tee boxes are in need of some work. There is a lot of water on the course, check out hole 8, and plenty of sand traps. The traps were inconsistent. Some had plenty of sand to make a play out of, while many were filled with pebbles, stones, and had a hard base making it difficult to get the club through the ball. On a Sunday mid-morning where you might expect a slow round on a public course, we finished in around 4.5 hours, and it didn't seem that long. The ranger was out and about making sure groups were moving along. There was a beverage cart on the course for "hydration". The staff was friendly. The starter gave us a few hints as to what to expect with this being our first time. It was a fun round and I would surely return.
