Ugh... Booked here cuz everything else was sky high ( Fairmont Pacific Rim was 3800$ US which is 4995$ Canadian FOR ONE NIGHT !!!! We got here and checked in. They are a somewhat dated "all suite hotel" we had booked on Priceline so the room we got was a Queen suite. My husband joked around about it being our anniversary ( last weekend it was - and we stayed at the JW Merritiot I can't imagine staying here for anything other then necessity ) She gave us our keys and a old, slow, rickety elevator took us up to the second floor. As soon as we walked in the room reeked if smoke of some sort. As I have allergies, asthma, and had just signed a form stating I would be fined 200$ for in room smoking - we turned around, went back to front desk and asked for a different room. She mentioned that we could upgrade to the King jacuzzi suite for 30$ extra. We decided to do this. However she misunderstood and we got keys to another Queen suite in the second floor. This one was way worst then the first. It smelt like an ashtray. My throat got sore and my allergies started up. Once again we returned back down to the desk and just said upgrade us please ! The King suite on the 4th much better ! The hallways had some nice glass designs throughout. The carpets were also new that were going down the hall. The rooms did appear to be renovated. And It didn't smell like smoke, and had a bigger bed although the "Queen" looked more like a double and the "King" more like a Queen. When you walk in, there is a small sofa and table. There is a sink across from it as well as a fridge. There may of been a microwave as well but I wasn't looking. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. We were expecting a jacuzzi in the middle of the room, so it was a slight disappointment but the towels were big and fluffy. The room had fresh paint, and the furniture looked to be newer and more modern. However the TV wasn't very big, and they desperately needed to replace the carpet, drapes and smoke detector. You could tell at one point they had been smoked in heavily because of the yellow discolouration. Our room over looked the outdoor pool & hot tub. We were told they were sold out since May, but I found that hard to believe since we had been in 3 unoccupied rooms and there were only 2 people in the pool. We slept in, and check out was at noon, but they never called the room until one or so, then gave us another 45 m to get ready, pack and leave. This was appreciated. We stayed there on 23 and 24 December and then again on the 26. We had booked until the 28. We had to check out early due to a family emergency. We checked out on the 27 at 13:35. It would have been nice if they offered some sort of discount for the night of the 27th. The rooms themselves were comfortable. The bed was ok. There was a separate room with a hideaway bed and a second tv. (Too bad they had a minimum number of channels and no way to log into your own streaming services). Obviously they wanted you to watch PPV movies. It's a decent hotel, room was quiet. They don't really care about fostering repeat business, obviously. I thought this was a great deal for a hotel compared to other places nearby and closer to downtown Our beds were very comfortable, the parking is not free but not crazy expensive ($9/day), and the location was very convenient. We were able to easily walk to Whole Foods and a few restaurants (including OEB for breakfast), and drive to any metro spot in Vancouver in 15-20 min. Booked two nights through Expedia. Changed plans where wanted to cancel second night. Frank (manager) asked that we call Expedia which we did. They were willing to make a special exception and cancel the second night with a refund if the manager agreed. Expedia called Frank who declined the request and offered us free parking instead by leaving a note on our account without contacting us. When we arrived to re-check in we said no and wanted out of the second night. Unfortunately Frank left by the time we came back to check in and no other manager is available. Feels like a scam. Are you kidding me? After staying here for 4 nights, we decided to stay one more. I booked the new reservation on Priceline that day. Imagine my surprise when the manager comes banging on the door and tells us we need to leave ? WTF ?! I show him my bank account where clearly it shows that Priceline has taken the money out. Turned out that at the exact time I was booking, the deal sold out. So while we were charged, the reservation did not go through. My fiancée called Priceline immediately, Instead of being sympathetic to the situation, and attempting to help out, this jackass gets like 4 or 5 housekeeping staff to come in forcing us to pack up right then and there !! Nice way to treat "guests" who have been staying there all week !! He then got into a verbal altercation with my other half - threatening to call the police - why ?? We had so much stuff to pack up it was almost comical ! We needed two luggage carts ! Still housekeeping wandered around us looking uncomfortable as Mr Power Trip barked orders to them ( make the bed !! ) So funny when my fiancée asked for everybody to leave so he could get changed ( he was in his boxers and tank top ) the guy wouldn't have it - so he started to change right there ha ..... Anyway we packed up and I tidied up ( I always leave hotel rooms clean) the ladies from a Housekeeping looked embarrassed at the Managers treatment of us. I had tipped really really well every day -even on days we didn't get our room cleaned, and just got towels and toiletries. So I could tell they felt bad for us. Finally we were ready to go and the ass had "security" supervise us with the 2 luggage carts. I told him instead of standing around, to make himself useful and help out!! Note to Executive - we do not appreciate this treatment and will NEVER be back. This manager ( dark skinned, heavy set male, late 40s -early 50s of age, perhaps East Indian in decent, working day shift ) needs to take a lesson in customer service, sensitivity, and problem solving!!! Absolutely inexcusable of him to act this way over a mistake - no fault of our own!!! The only plus to this place was the pool and housekeeping (Both nice and needed to be mentioned ) but no wonder the pool was so dead ! When we did get ahold of Priceline, they apologized for the "glitch" however this didn't immediately resolve our issue. At this point we didn't want to stay anyway. Way too many, way nicer hotels in the GVA that treat guests with respect. PS - update this place. Oh I forgot, it must be acceptable, along with deplorable customer service !! read more

This place isn't the worst hotel, but it is still pretty terrible... We were visiting Vancouver and this place is about a 20 minute drive. We booked this hotel mainly because the rooms seemed spacious and the rates were fair. However, this hotel is very outdated and the rooms are not at all cleaned how they should be. We used the pull out bed in the room and noticed there were tons of crumbs and dust on the floor under the sofa. And then we realized that the sofa bed still had the sheets from the previous person that had used it! We knew because the sheets were not even tucked or nicely folded, it literally looked like someone had just got out of bed and threw the sheets on the mattress. So the bf contacts housekeeping telling them that the sheets have not been changed and the person on the line says he'll bring up a new set of linens. So when he arrives we assume he would change the sheets out for us or at least collect the old sheets but no!! The man knocks on the door, hands us the new blankets and leaves without saying a word! Oh and he only brought 1 blanket so we call back and ask for another one and the man on the line is like "I'll send one up if I can find one". Excuse me? What do you mean if you can find another one??? Extremely unhelpful staff and dirty outdated rooms. Stay somewhere else if you can. read more

The absolute worst hotel ever. When I arrived at 11 PM after a few flight delays, they told me that they never received my reservation. After showing them the confirmation email, it changed to that I arrived too late to check in. I eventually had to find a new hotel after they said I would be refunded but they didn't have any vacancy. Two weeks later, they re-charge my card for $300 for a no-show fee. Called them and they said I "never showed up" and they refused to remove the charge. After disputing the charge wit my CC company, the hotel management told them I never showed up and I still haven't received my money back. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Basic. Representative of ridiculous Vancouver pricing, elsewhere a hotel like this might cost 50% less, and that would make sense. Room very basic, but adequate. Genuine question; how and why do some hotels serve such utterly awful coffee? Decent coffee is really easy and not expensive. Makes a huge difference to how a person feels, sitting at breakfast with nothing better to do other than write a yelp review. Sometimes it's the little things. For god's sake, learn to make coffee! Work needed a place to hold a conference for about 75 people so we had one at Executive Hotel. The hotel itself is in a plaza with a gym, Cactus Club, Boston Pizza and Tim Hortons so parking was quite difficult to find. The space that the conference was held was a decent size with audio and music controls located in the back. The staff were very helpful from the set up all the way till the end. The muffins, croissants and danishes were baked fresh and was still warm while we munched on them. Coffee, tea and juice were neatly arranged and garbage was quickly taken away. read more

The hotel was overpriced, charged 150$ deposit for "incidentals" in the room (there wasn't even a bottle of water in the fridge as an incidental) didn't honor the Canadian exchange rate from hotels.com or the price we were given. The bathroom had pink slime all over it. The room was much smaller than pictured. The noise from outside the hotel was very loud making it hard to sleep. Overall for the price we should have stayed a motel 6. Definitely not an executive hotel by any means. The only upside was the restaurant on site. The service in the morning is okay (you can tell the staff is short handed) but for dinner it took an hour to get a second drink even after asking for one. The restaurant wasn't even full at 730 pm. Maybe 1/4 of the tables were being used! Do not waste your money. read more

Stayed here one night for visiting my friends. Hotel is not very new but feels clean. The staff tries to help at their best (even waived my parking fee) To me, it is a clean and economic hotel to stay when I visit my friends. Would come back again. Besides, parking should be complementary for hotel guests as this is not in downtown and there are 80% vacant spots on Saturday night. read more

I stayed here for 3 nights recently with my husband. This is a good hotel if you're only staying a night or two and especially if you don't care about location much. I was visiting Vancouver and getting to the city and back was a bit of a hassle. There is a train station within a 10 minute walk but when you've been walking all day that's the last thing you want to deal with. Plus it's a minimum of 2 connections to get to downtown Vancouver from here. The room was fairly updated but not completely clean. Pretty dusty in some areas. The bathroom was very outdated. The restaurant was pretty good and they have an all day $10 menu too. Don't trust the "shuttle around town" they have. I asked about it & was told that it only made one stop and it didn't run very often. read more

I stayed for one night at this hotel and I was extremely disappointed. I really tried to like this hotel but they didn't really give me a good reason to. First, I got confused with the location of the hotel and went to the one near Lougheed Mall. When I got to the hotel, the lady said I was at the wrong hotel. I was getting upset because I was already having an issue with one of the front desk people being rude to me on the phone. I started to cry because I was extremely exhausted and I didn't want to travel on transit to the other hotel. She just said sorry and gave me the address of the other hotel and that's it. I was shocked she didn't seemed phase at how exhausted I was and the fact that I started to cry from the misunderstanding. I would have thought she would have called a car or something to drop me at the other hotel but she didn't care and didn't offer to help. I had to call a Uber to take me to the other hotel. When I finally got to the hotel, I was relieved that I got to relax and hopefully enjoy my stay, which was not the cars. When I was paying for my room, the front desk said I had to pay for a $150 deposit, I was like I've never been to a hotel that asked for a deposit with that amount. The front desk person laughed and said that Whistler sometimes asks for $500 as a deposit. I thought that her comment was unnecessary to be completely honest. Also, it was weird because I called the front desk beforehand and asked if there was any hidden fees for my room. He said there wasn't and I only called because I wanted to make sure the confirmation email price was the right one. He did not tell me I would have to pay a $150 deposit. Next time, they need to be more clear. 10 minutes into my stay at the Executive Suites Hotel, the toilet was broken and the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. I called front desk and they apologized for the inconvenience and changed my room. Once in the room, I tried to change the channels with the remote and it wouldn't work no matter how many times I pressed the button. I called front desk and they sent a housekeeper to fix it for me. Apparently the remote was supposed to be working but it wasn't. Eventually, it worked with a different remote. When my guest and I went out for a bit and returned to the hotel, the key cards wouldn't open our room at all. I called front desk and they came to open the door for us but it was weird that both our key cards weren't working and they said it might have been because it was near our phones. The next morning, I had a complimentary breakfast, I was pretty excited because the restaurant looked pretty nice. I shouldn't have been excited because I was extremely disappointed again. I found a hair in my scramble eggs, which was a thick grey hair. I called the waitress and showed her the hair in my scramble eggs. She apologized and replaced it with a newly cooked one. I lost my appetite by then and decided to get my breakfast to go. When I got to the door to my hotel room and tried to open it but the key card wasn't working again. I saw a housekeeper and asked if she couldn't open my room and she said no she couldn't. I called front desk and they sent a housekeeper to open my room for me. I told her that I asked the other housekeeper and that she told me she couldn't open it for me. The housekeeper who opened my door said that housekeepers can open the door which was weird because I don't understand then why she said no. When I got into my hotel room, I was telling my guest that I found a hair in my food and they were shocked that I kept having multiple issue with this hotel and how unprofessional they were. Personally, I had an unpleasant and an extremely disappointed time. read more

I'm giving this place a 4 star because you get great value for your money . Yes it's older but they've done a pretty decent job on it. The restaurant has a $10 section with lots of variety. I am a clean freak and have zero complaints about housekeeping. A small but functional space and nice and close to a grocery store . Tim Hortons is just across the parking lot as is 24 hour fried chicken place and a sushi restaurant if nothing in the restaurant menu strikes your fancy. Beds are comfortable and the outdoor pool was great. Parking was a steal at only $8 a night. I will definitely return. read more

Recently stayed here with my daughter and her Rep hockey team for the Pat Quinn Classic Hockey Tournament. Had a large room on 3rd floor which was recently renovated and nicely equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, counter, sink, coffee maker and microwave. Large relatively new flat screen TV, 2 comfortable queen size beds and a nicely finished bathroom. The hotel had a good reasonably equipped gym on the third floor and an outdoor pool that surprisingly was open when we were there just after Christmas. Hotel lobby bar and restaurant were nicely finished and furnished and had some surprisingly tasty dinner dishes for $10 including spaghetti bolognese, burgers, butter chicken and several others. The ribs were reportedly excellent as well, but priced at about $23. There were also excellent drink specials during the nightlyand daily happy hours. Breakfast unfortunately was a disappointment. Breakfast sandwich was mediocre and overpriced at over $7 and the menu items were very limited. The breakfast buffet was best described as pitiful and priced at $15 plus taxes. It was also quite a long wait despite the fact there were only a few people in the entire restaurant. Similarly, the wait times for dinner service were sometimes excessive as the bar and restaurant was chronically understaffed with only two servers working when the restaurant was often full over the supper time period. Astoundingly, one of the servers was also doing double duty as the bartender! The owner/operator must be exceedingly cheap to refuse to employ at least one more server when well aware that the restaurant would be extremely busy for the 5 days we were there given that the hotel was filled to capacity with hockey teams and their families! This restaurant could be so much better if it were properly staffed, as the food was very good and value priced. The only other minor complaints that kept me from giving this hotel 4 stars were: that the room key cards were consistently under magnetized such that they would usually only work once or twice before requiring new cards. This got somewhat annoying.; and that they charged us $20 for a late checkout only a couple hours later than regular checkout time. The location of this hotel is excellent as it is surrounded by numerous excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance as well as a Save-On-Foods grocery store, deli and Starbucks and liquor store. The rapid transit line and two stations are located within a couple of blocks as are easy access to local freeways. The rooms were also surprisingly quiet despite the hotel being in a hub of activity. While I would likely stay here again, I would strongly encourage the management to increase the staffing of the bar and restaurant and improve the breakfast options and prices. read more

The place either needs to be updated or just do what all the other places are doing. Sell the land, put up a condo and cash out - maybe it's the owner's plans. It must be because this hotel is not worth the $200+ a night. Would hate to see what it costs during peak season. As you enter the property, the place is dated. The sign is peeling and the place is not well kept. Parking is $9 per night - really? You're nowhere that requires paid parking! The room had a musty smell...I immediately turned on the bathroom vent and went out for dinner. The place has a restaurant but it was dead. They have happy hour and specials but nothing looked appetizing. Think about it...the place is flanked with a Boston Pizza, a Cactus Club, and a Joey's. I don't think they are making any cabbage in the restaurant part of the biz. I was there for two nights, so I decided to have their breakfast. Being the "executive" hotel, I thought we would be getting an omelette station and some nice pastries. Nope...! It's basically a run of the mill express breakfast. A vat of sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, some juice, coffee and carbs...and they charge you for it! It's nothing special that you don't get at a Comfort Inn - at least there, we had a Waffle Station (oh don't hold me back)! Yes...it's around $15 and gratuities are graciously expected for they poured you a cup of coffee. When I go back to Vancouver, I will not be going back here. read more

Stayed here with a groupoun. The lady at the front desk was not nice and took forever to check us in. They also charge you for over 2 people in a room but don't tell you and then give you extra breakfast cards or towels or anything. They also wanted a dollar to use their phone for a local call. Really?!?!?!?!??!!? Stop nickel and dining people. This place sucks. I won't be back. To continue my review, I stayed here 325 to 327. There was a rave going on that weekend and so many out of control naked kids that the hotel didn't control. We got woken up so many times by these hooligans and even verbally yelled at by one when we politely asked them to keep it down. It gets worse....one of them set off the fire alarm at 2 am and it was so loud you had to get out. All night police came door to asking about it so that REALLY ruined our sleep. never again. read more

If i can give "no star" for this hotel, i will. Please read and be aware if youre looking for a safe place to spend the night, this is not it! We came out of the hotel to find out that our rental car had broken into the night before( broken side window) yet We parked literally at the entrance of the hotel, not knowing they have no surveillance camera outside. We reported the incident to the hotel staff. A female staff was saying something about placing a claim for us with the police. After 20mins of waiting for the final respond, an "executive manager" with the last name Gill, mid 40s-50s of age, tall, dark brown skin, possibility middle eastern origin, told us that theres nothing he can do for us. He claimed that the parking lot was a public parking and that the hotel is not responsible for any loss/damages although there were nightly parking fees. Instead of being sympathetic or try to find ways to help us, he was being rude and trying to talk his way out. We walked out of the hotel feeling distressed and upset of how things were being handled improperly by the "execute manager." To be fair, the place overall is 3stars, given its 8-10miles from downtown/tourist attractions; however, i wouldn't risk to stay in such hotel that has no security for their customers. You pretty much stay at your own risk as if any mishaps at the hotel, youre on your own. read more

As soon as I walked into the hotel, I immediately knew this wasn't what I signed up for. In the pictures, the room we booked seemed especially spacious and perfect for our family. Unfortunately, we were wrong. On top of the very cramped room, the AC barely functions. I also tried working out at the gym and even that was disappointing as the majority of their equipment was either ripped or completely broken. They really need to do a better job at maintaining a certain level of quality. The staff hasn't been rude or anything bad, but they haven't really gone above and beyond either. They remedied the parking situation with free parking. Woot woot. I had to come here for a wedding, dreading the fact I would have to park in this God forsaken parking lot. I was gonna park on the street, but we parked in the back where it was just hotel parking. Lo and behold, it was free! I even had to ask the front desk, just to make sure. The room was spacious and held 20 tables with room for the dj booth and the photo booth. In the foyer, the buffet they had was awesome! There was butter chicken with really soft naan bread. There were lots of different salads... I got pate again... there was lamb and a prime rib carving station. I made my husband get a huge slice so I could have his leftovers. At 10pm, there was a dessert buffet. Again, with the epic cheesecake I had from the other night at Cloud 9. This was good. There were many different kinds of cheesecake... The party raged until 1am and it was one of the best weddings I ever went to. Plus, it was so close to my house. read more

Overall a nice hotel. Fixtures seem outdated but from the looks of the hallway, they are renovating. Staff was nice and friendly, parking was available. The beds and sheets were nice and comfy. There's a lot of space in the rooms. Bathroom left me thinking it could use an update. This isn't a resort to get it straight it is purpose built for conferences or staying over night on travel. Brutal hotel. Room was cold temp was set to 69 turn heat up went to lounge till room warmed up booked room with a jacuzzi no plug for drain, they did send someone to get a drain plug after I said to take the price of jacuzzi of rate. Jacuzzi sounded like a dash 8. With jets on. ( that was relaxing). Lol Bathroom could use major overhaul and cleaning . I wouldn't recomend this room to anyone even if I didn't like them . The hotel is old and run down. The refrigerator in my room doesn't work, the heater smells bad when you turn it on and there are drunk people banging on door and running around in the halls. Glad I didn't have to pay for this dump. I would never stay here again. read more

The Good: the rooms and facilities have been updated. Not a total makeover as there is still some old/dated showing through. The Bad: after staying a few days, I can say the housekeeping never did a great job with our room. The A/C in the rooms are functional but old and loud, difficult to try and sleep with on. There are 125 rooms and 2 elevators. But one elevator is shared by housekeeping and I was told not to use it during work hours since they have to wait long periods of time. I completely understand that but that leaves 125 rooms with just one elevator. Also, the stairs were "out of order" for the duration of our stay. read more

I came here for a CHF BC Fall Education Conference over the October 25th weekend. I haven't stayed here, therefore, this review is for the conference itself. We were situated in a room that was nicely layed out, tables were large and the acoustics were good. There were some light snacks and tea. The only downfall is that the apples in the lobby for patrons were severly bruised and mushy. read more

The service at this hotel was so poor it inspired me to write my first review. Oddly enough, service was just horrible win barely any other humans in sight. I called down to get room service, was told the restaurant was "too busy" & they'd get back to me. I decided to walk down to get a table alone and three tables of people were there. I literally walked around wondering if I was in the right place. I upgraded to get a large bathtub. It was missing a stopper. Called the front desk and waited over an hour. I gave up on that idea and decided to go to sleep instead. Generally don't get how the entire staff can seem so miserable. Can happily say I will never stay here on business again & highly suggest you make the same choice. There's far less expensive hotels with better amenities. I know because my co-workers were there. Guess I learned procrastination around travel bookings doesn't always pay off! An added bonus that at 5:30 in the morning it took over 20 minutes to check out and I wasn't even acknowledged while he sat on the phone with a customer saying he didn't understand how to access part of the system he needed and he had no one to help him. read more

We stayed here for a girls weekend March 2016. The woman who checked us in was a bit rude and unhelpful but the rest of the staff seemed nice. The hotel is clean but a bit dated. They charged us extra money for having 4 people in the room instead of 2 - FYI everyone. I am only giving them 3 stars because - the toilet in our room was running continuously and then started a weird condensation thing so it was all wet - wanted to call a restaurant down the street about reservations but found out the hotel charges $1 for local calls. Really. ..? - there was a Rave going on in town and apparently this was the hotel for all the no future youth. I realize the hotel cannot help who books the rooms however they could have controlled the kids and enforced some quiet time rules. We were woken up multiple times both nights. The second night, the ass holes in room 218 (...you know who you are!) Reapeatedly ignored our requests for them to be quiet (also, executive suites if you are reading this there was definitely at least 6 of them sleeping in that room. But that's okay, charge us "extra people fee" for being honest with you ) on our final attempt to ask them to quiet down they told my 5"2 friend "f*** you bitch" . So that was a pleasant way to end our evening.... - to cap it all off, at 2am on the second night one of *I'm assuming * these no brained glow stick carrying glitter bombs (I mean Rave'ers seriously get a life) pulled the damn fire alarm and we all got to go stand outside in the rain for 20 minutes. To their credit, the hotel refunded our extra charge for 4 people in the room Sunday morning when we checked out. However, I will certainly stay somewhere else next time I come to vancouver. Expensive hotel yet still one of cheaper options in Vancouver area. Hotel desk tried to double charge me for room and even tho I showed him my receipts and email confirmations he tried to explain it wasn't a charge. Spent all morning on phone with credit card company and I was right I had pre paid! Wasted my time and huge inconvenience. Room isn't super clean bathroom is disgusting tub is gross, shower curtain is falling apart and there is a heavy perfume smell they have in here to clearly cover up another scent. Honestly this hotel is so horrible I can't believe i was so stupid to ever stay here. The room we ordered is not the same as the pictures we saw online. The room supposively sleeps six, but there are 2 tiny full beds and a pill out couch. Save your vacation and go elsewhere. read more

I rarely wrote remarks down,especially the negative ones.But this time I have to do that for the uncomfortable experiences I had with this hotel few days ago. I booked a suite for three nights straight before landed on Vancouver and shocked by there was no A/R in the room after I actually entered the room. There was an electronic heater in the bedroom though,but two possibilities are available, sleepless duo to the noise or to cold. after freezing for the whole night and heard all the noises outside the door thanks for the non-soundproof wall, I decided to change a warm place to go the very next morning. But the reception,a man origin from Indian probably,informed me that he will charge an extra night as pension even the reservation policy doesn't claim that no change is accepted. I pointed that out but he insisted on by a very rude way. And even claimed that he should charge me all the fee for 3 nights but did give me a favor already.I paid 2nights accommodation for only one terrible night stay and left the hotel disappointedly. The rooms are good, with a separate bedroom(has a real door to the living room!). But parking is not free (like $8-$9). Guys, where do you think your hotel is located?! considering the location the parking should really be free. The breakfast is $15 plus tax per person, which is again too much for such a hotel. read more

Stayed here for a hockey tournament. Extremely disappointed with this hotel and restaurant. Certainly not worth the price. Group reservations were a major pain and multiple reservations were "lost" by the hotel booking staff. Messages were left for sales manager that were never returned. "Remodeled" very cheaply and corners cut in every way. For example the shower curtain rod was painted so every time it was opened or closed, chips of paint flew off. The list goes on and one. In general staff was very unaccommodating. No area for team gathering. Attached restaurant and bar had limited hours and bar staff was very rude. Don't waste your money here. read more

This hotel wasn't even close to be at the executive level, rudeness from your hotel staff and contractors which I did not deserve from the moment I stepped into the hotel, very poor service and unfulfilled expectations. I both attended a high profile conference at your hotel and stayed at your hotel overnight. Both experiences were absolutely garbage, definitely wasn't treated like an "Executive" but more like a rat under a bridge which no one cared about and wasn't treated with an ounce of respect. The rooms were absolutely filthy with cobwebs running up the ceiling from the lamps, very small rooms where you literally had to walk sideways and room keys that wouldn't provide access to the elevators. As soon as I stepped foot into the hotel, I was greeted by their front desk that was extremely rude and had a huge attitude issue. The hotel did not offer any help with our bags (we had many) nor did they even appreciate our stay. They just didn't care. I was called a freaking liar by their Internet staff, High Speed Systems when I called them to report internet issues. The hotel didn't offer any apology on it. Housekeeping even ran over my expensive dress shoes with their equipment and cracked the sole in half. In regards to the Internet, I have never been as abused and harassed by a customer service rep in my life. I thought this fellow was going to punch me because he just showed extreme aggression towards me and others in regards to this issue, and this was the president of the Internet company. The hotel would not take responsibility on the internet issues, but instead handed us off to the Internet company because they didn't want to deal with it. On the second day, they just ignored us completely and wouldn't respond to our phone calls or messages and left us, in a hotel room and conference without any internet connection. This was an internet marketing conference too so having an internet connection was absolutely required. We were promised an internet connection by the hotel prior to our stay without any issues. The TV remote didn't even work during our stay we had to adjust the channels manually on the side of the TV and the alarm clock on the bedside table was 15 minutes in advance. None of these issues were fixed. This hotel offers complimentary massages, which they don't fulfill either. We booked these with the front desk girl who told us they were in the book, but when we arrived they didn't even know about it so only one of us were able to get a massage which by the way was another total joke. I want an immediate and full refund. What a joke of a hotel!!! DONT STAY HERE!!!!! UPDATE: THIS HOTEL BLACKMAILS PEOPLE TO REMOVE THEIR NEGATIVE REVIEWS FOR A POTENTIAL REFUND. CAUTION!!! There is severe blackmailing and false practices by the Executive Hotel and Suites in Burnaby. I had a very bad experience at the hotel and I was promised a refund. The general manager then contacted me and said in order to get the refund I am required to remove the review on TripAdvisor. As TripAdvisor's guidelines, this is considered fraud: Pressuring travelers to remove a negative review on TripAdvisor. Asking guests to remove their reviews in return for a discount or incentive. Prohibiting or discouraging guests from posting negative or critical reviews of their experience. I suggest you go to TripAdvisor's help centre and search "What is considered fraud?" You've just made a huge mistake Mr. Gill. BIG mistake. read more

This Executive Suites Hotel is ALOT nicer than some other reviews say! My husband and I stayed six nights, Aug. 15 thru 20th 2016 and the room, the maid service, the front desk, free newspaper ( which actually was outside the door as opposed to some hotels where you have to hunt one down) and the help with getting Canadian dollars for US Dollars as well as directions were stellar! The hotel is walking distance to a great sushi restaurant and a shopping center with grocery store, as well as the local transit. Highly recommend it! read more
