At the time we lived just a few blocks away on 7th Street. The barber shop was just an half block away from Lincoln School. I remember coming here and Mr. Umezu would cut my hair perfectly. I know he did a good job because my mother was so happy when we came home. Fast forward 50 years. The barber shop is still here and looks exactly as it did back then. Even though Mr. Umezu is no longer here, it's great too know that his grand-son Corey has followed in his grandfather's footstep in providing customers a 5 Star experience! Coming back here brought back wonderful childhood memories. Thanks for reading !

Professional staff, Beautiful ambiance, Immaculate service and Great location. During my time there, I decided to get my FIRST ever underarm waxing (I usually shave or Nair). While I have waxed other body parts, I was a little apprehensive. A gal name Isabel completed the service. I explained to her that this was my first time and she was so gentle, very careful and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the entire time. I am extremely happy how it turned out. I am a forever armpit waxer from now on :) I won one of the raffle prizes for a mani-pedi during the grand opening and booking an appointment was quick and easy. Came back to get my mani-pedi and again admired their chic decor. The owner is extremely sweet and immediately greeted me with a smile. She also offered me a mimosa which was a really nice touch. Nail Tech Zuri did my pedicure and she was uber sweet, funny and did a great job. The laid-back vibe and friendly nature of the owner and staff add to the whole experience. I must say that I was very pleased with my luxe treatment and left pleasantly happy and relaxed. I believe they're offering a % off of all services during their soft opening which I'm sure won't last long!

New Sara Beauty Salon is a decent hair salon, located on the corner of 11th and T St, in downtown…read moreSacramento. It's owned by two sisters, however, only one was working on the day we went. She was very talkative, personable, and can speak at least four different languages. We came on a Saturday afternoon and when we arrived, there was only one person ahead of us so the wait wasn't too bad. Currently, haircuts for men start at $12 and haircuts for women start at $18. The lady cut my hair and bangs exactly as I requested, so I was pretty pleased about that. She also cut my mom's hair, but I thought her haircut was just okay. To be fair, my mom also wasn't very good at communicating how she wanted her haircut, but took suggestions from the owner. Since this was both of our first time here, the owner didn't know how she usually has her hair, but we appreciated her opinions. Overall, the experience at New Sara was good and the prices are competitive. The atmosphere is comfortable and calm. Despite the word "New" in its name, it's actually not new, and the interior and exterior are a bit...the opposite of new. But don't let the outside appearance dissuade you. You can still get a bang-for-your-buck haircut inside, despite their recent price increase. Also, I'm not sure why it's named "Sara" as neither of the sisters are named Sara.

I liked how you could check in on your phone when you were on your way and it gave you a heads up of how long the wait was. The hair cut was also pretty good and pretty much what he wanted. what I didn't like.... They don't really tell you how much it is and what age the kids haircut is. Only the VP prices are on the wall, but it doesn't tell you at what age or how much a regular hair cut is. My 10 year old got charged for an adult haircut and he said it was age 10 and up. I still don't know if that's true since there are no signs to indicate otherwise. You should have your prices located somewhere at least.
