It's relatively easy to take the underground tram, A or C and use restaurant landmarks to navigate through the shops. You will see the sign and know this store will offer a better selection than other places. The prices are the same at other souviners shops so comparison shopping isn't necessary. I picked up some interesting bottle openers and coffee mugs. The woman was careful to wrap up the breakables and was very cordial. Spacing is tight so be careful when dealing with wide bodies from the US.

The magnet prices were not bad, but not too original. They all say, Praha or something similar. Same thing with the t-shirts. The prices weren't too great. I saw cheaper prices in the shops outside of the tourist areas. But this is right in the thick of it with all the touristy stuff. It's a rather small shop. There's not much to it. All of the merchandise is available in other shops. This is just another one of the places that are just like the others along the same street. Yadda yadda yadda.

Well, you can if you have no heart nor love for ginger. I just happen to have love for ginger. It's not really a museum but a very cute store selling 90% of gingerbread, decorated in creative ways. It's difficult for you to step out without wanting to buy a little bit of everything. It's a small store but I must have spent 20 minutes in there looking at everything and deciding what to get. Finally decided and bought a couple gingerbread cookies and a gingerbread ornament - like to replace that missing bow in your hair, perhaps ? I've gotta say I'm grossly disappointed. The cookies must have been older than that condom in your wallet! They were so stale and tasteless .. and just terrible. The one in the shape of an ornament was super dry and hard, not the crispy type of hard but the break-your-teeth hard. What a shame. I can only image that they mass produce these cookies and just let them sit there for weeks, if not months, until some sucker tourist who don't know better, come in and buy them. I'm just glad I didn't soften up, go all out and bought the gingerbread mansion!

Lots of well decorated cookies, from animal shape to Christmas decorations. It is fun to browse around. Downstairs they have an area where you can decorate you own cookies (and a clean bathroom is down there). I bought a few of their cookies, which the staff will tell you stay fresh for months if you keep them in the bag, so they make a nice souvenir or gift to take home. Price is fair, around 45-170 Czech depending on size of the cookie. They day earlier I had passed through a gingerbread store where the cookies were homemade and decorated, but double the price! So try out Prague sweets for the homemade feel for much less money.
