Although I have been an EMT for over 17 years, it's been a long time since I was in a classroom setting and appreciated how she tailored some aspects of the core curriculum to my needs. Her teaching style is clear, hands-on, and full of patience. She doesn't just teach the material she makes sure you understand it, feel confident in it, and knows how to apply it in the real world. And if you mess up, she's right there with encouragement and guidance, never judgment. If you engage in active listening, show up on time (every time) and practice safe lab procedures you will ace the class with no problem. Take it seriously, phlebotomy is the first line in medical care. I would highly recommend and may reach out in the future to see if there are any opportunities to work alongside her at the school in the future.

Each classroom is named after a Spanish speaking country and let me say the Paraguay teachers are so loving! I have a very animated little man and they guide him to focus and learn while showing kindness and care. The student ratio is the best I've seen from any other local daycare. It's about 2 teachers to 10 kids. They really know your child's strengths and weaknesses and work with them. Now my son is 3 1/2 and moved on to classroom Mexico. The teachers in that classroom tell us talents and insights into our son - some we knew - some we discovered through their eyes. The attention to your kids the Spanish Schoolhouse provides is worth the investment when comparing to the larger class to teacher ratio at other daycares (which we did try) before finding Spanish Schoolhouse. The PLUS is he's learning Spanish and he very comfortably seems to accommodate Spanish when he knows you speak Spanish and English when he knows you are English speaking. It's incredible to see now at 3. Parents don't freak either! At 18 months talking with the other parents at b-day parties (pre-covid obviously) we were all concerned our kids were behind! But learning two languages at once starts slower. TRUST us suddenly around 3 they are doing GREAT! Anyway, we love this school and if you have the opportunity and care about learning Spanish, this is the best choice.

The F2F is so much more valuable than virtual - you can ask questions, the classes are small enough that you can ask questions that are specific to your needs, and there's free snacks and coffee in the kitchen :D The only downside is not all the students work at the same pace, which tends to slow down the class...I do feel like we could fit more information into the day. Protip: bring your own lunch (there's a fridge and microwave) to avoid having to buy lunch in another building. Also, try to register with a friend because they usually have promos (gas gift cards, movie tickets, etc).
