Not only because it's a tier graded gas, and usually has the best price, but the other thing I value most is I don't have to worry about skimmers. Costco makes sure the payment pad is always secure and that every time I pay at the pump there are security stickers and measures taken so skimmers can't be added onto the payment pads. This gives me peace of mind because I've experienced being scammed at other places and it really is so troublesome to get all that sorted out and to fix my card and trying to get back the money stolen from my cards. Peace of mind is so undervalued in this day and age and I'm happy that Costco can provide that for me!

However, the gentleman working today (Asian male, approx. 50s) handled a simple request with a very condescending attitude. Instead of a professional "no," he gave me a humiliating smile and mocked me, saying I was at the "wrong store" and this "isn't a Bank of America." It was a very disappointing "bully" moment from an older professional toward a younger customer. On this last trip I added a carwash to my gas purchase because my car was filthy. For 9 bucks ($10 less $1 discount) for The Works car wash, yes it is steep but it is touchless, which I do prefer. The undercarriage spray works well. The multiple soapy spray cleaned my 20-year old car nicely. Gas is gas. But I like to get good quality gas and I believe in techron, lol. Our cars are pretty old, all 20 or more years old and (knock on wood) still working decently. I always stick with Chevron, unless where I am it's not available. So I don't complain much about the price. It's how the market operates. If I do complain about the price then I will go get an electric car (which I will one day..)
