Exalt and Salute is by far the best facility I have encountered. I have been taking lessons and boarding my horse for the past 6 months. From the first time I arrive I knew something was different. I was met by Bizzy, the Jack Russell rescue who had been thru 4 homes before finding his loving home with Monet and Ron Ward. Bizzy is the sweetest little man and makes me smile every time I arrive.
There are a number of reasons this place is special. But most importantly, all the horses are happy at Exalt and Salute! As you walk thru the many pastures each horse looks up to see if you are coming for them. When called they come (some faster than others but each one wants to greet you). The barn, arenas and pastures are beautifully maintained. Stalls are always clean, water buckets are cleaned out daily, the hay is of excellent quality and nutrition is a priority. Things are done right (Monet doesn't miss a thing, horses are watched over all day long). Everything at Exalt and Salute is about putting the horses care first, when you leave you know your horse is happy and safe.
Monet is an excellent teacher and focuses on the biomechanics of both horse and rider (which isn't easy). It is an entirely new and exciting discipline, the importance of riding correctly for our horses health is the least we can do. In addition to her expertise in biomechanics Monet is an expert on horse care. Ok all barn owners should be experts but Monet has the knowledge beyond what is expected. This clearly stems from her quest to connect and understand horses (both physically and mentally). She really cares about the welfare of each and every horse. Her holistic approach to physical recovery methods (giving advice if your horse is injured or you are having problems), including equine massage, laser, hoof care and nutrition is like none other, she truly loves horses and it is more than just a business. This barn is my home away from home! read more
