We went in asking for an angle bob and wow that is not what we got. It was expressed MANY times that I was not happy with my granddaughters hair cut and they basically told me that I didn't know what I was talking about it, when I posted on a Facebook group looking for a place that could fix what this place did the owner commented and went right to defense mode.. if she was a good business owner and cared about the customer then she would have reached out to me on messenger or calling me. She said to come back in the following Tuesday so they could fix it but honestly I wouldn't want them touching her hair again. End of the day when I go somewhere for a service and ask for something specific I expect that and it's beyond me how a business lets a customer walk out knowing they are unhappy and then trying to make good after they leave because they said something on Facebook about it. read more

I LOVED this salon! This was my first visit here. My regular stylist retired right before the Covid outbreak so I hadn't had anything done to my hair for literally a year, and it was a long and moppy mess. My gray had really made its presence known this past year. Sadly, my Yorkie had more visits to the salon last year than I did. Not bearing one more day looking like a street dweller everytime I was out in public, I searched the internet for a new regular stylist. After reading hundreds of reviews and recommendations I decided upon Evolve Salon, and Jessica Guillermo, to be exact. Jessica and Evolve both had stellar reviews. Jessica came highly recommended by everyone that used her services; so I called Evolve to schedule an appointment. I wasn't disappointed. Jessica was friendly, professional, efficient, and extremely talented. She was also patient and shared my gift of gab. She is smart and witty, with a great sense of humor that I found completely refreshing. I really enjoyed the entire experience. And as for my hair... I was completely overjoyed with the results! She listened carefully to what I was wanting the results to look like, and she executed it better than my vision. She cut just enough, but not too much of my hair - up to a more manageable and attractive level. Then she carefully put in the highlights. When she was done, my hair was restored to my natural looking coloring from years ago. I was VERY happy with the results. Plus, it was also husband approved. (Thank you, Jessica! Visited Blue Springs, MO from Columbus, OH (in town for a wedding) and had NO place to get our hair done. We just needed a simple styling session, so were hoping we could find someplace to take us last minute. Evolve was the first place I called due to the proximity to our hotel, right off of I-70. The receptionist was incredibly polite and was able to squeeze in myself + my boyfriend's 11-year-old daughter for appointments within the hour. Amaze! The salon was VERY nice. The ambience/decor felt like an urban loft - exposed ductwork, ultra modern furniture, chic artwork, minimalist look and feel. I loved it. My boyfriend's daughter remarked, "Where do they keep all the hair stuff?!" because everything was tucked away in cabinets or work stations. It was literally the cleanest, most simplistic and relaxing hair salon I'd ever been in. Dani, our stylist, was fantastic. We showed her pictures from Pinterest and she replicated our looks almost exactly. The curls held for hours, as we danced the night away. The price was reasonable, too. Went here last Labor Day weekend while visiting my in-laws and was very pleasantly surprised. Evolve uses natural hair care products and they were able to take me on the fly for a wash and blow out. I felt like I needed a little escape and that was exactly what I got. Mandee gave me a very thorough and relaxing shampoo and then styled my hair as I asked. She was so positive and enthusiastic about the products that I bought some. I really enjoyed the whole experience and the staff was all very nice. I felt great all night but it was pretty humid out, so my hair did revert back to its natural wave/frizziness. Would definitely go here again for a little pick-me-up. read more

I thought the salon was beautiful and very clean. I was disappointed in my haircut I explained exactly what I wanted and ended up with barely a trim and paid way to much! The stylist talked more about selling me products as I was leaving than he did about the cut and style I wanted and also left with half wet hair! Big disappointment! read more

I have a hair stylist but I needed a hair cut like now! My Stylist could not work me in so I got an appointment with Jeremy at Evolve Hair / Skin in Blue Springs. I have never had a shampoo like Jeremy gave it was wonderful if you like being massaged on the neck and scalp. Jeremy cut my hair the way I asked and I love it. Actually, I probably will have Jeremy cut my hair from now on. The ambiance was awesome. I loved how the shampoo is in a private room with soft music in the background. I got my hair colored a while back and they accidentally dyed my hair an orangish color. After much waiting they remixed a new color and tried to save it. But I still left with a brassy color , not becoming at all. It's hard to find good hairdressers. I won't be back. read more

Like this place. As a guy I get a little uncomfortable going to a salon to get a haircut - but I want someone who knows what they are doing - and a reasonable price. This place meets those requirements and gives me a beer or what ever beverage I would like when I walk in the door. The staff is very nice and I got the feeling they knew what they were doing. Long story short Danielle cut my hair and it looked great, she did just what I wanted - which is not guaranteed, and the price was right - even cheaper than what the posted prices said. I didn't know what to expect going to a salon. Some have an exclusive female clientele, so I didn't know if I would even feel comfortable. I have been to Salon Evolve 3 times and am now a regular client. The style is superior to anything else I have ever had. Even the shampoo is an experience! Normally the shampoo is a rushed experience prior to the main event. Not so at Salon Evolve! I am taken to a dimly-lit room. I sit, and my feet are elevated. Justin is the owner and cuts my hair, he is amazing. He is such a nice person and does an amazing job every time. Everyone there is very professional. The inside is decorated really nice. Evolve is the best place for hair styling i have ever been to the stylist are very competent including the owner Justin iv not been to a place were I feel comfortable letting the stylist have free reign over my hair as its time consuming and complex to cut the cleansing and styling products are natural based so there good for you and the environment when you enter for your appointment your greeted pleasantly and offered a complimentary drink the decor leans toward modern all the styling tools are placed in such a manner at each charir that there was isnt the clutter like other places you will also notice recycling is a priority here the music played is modern and fits the environment well there is a separate centralized and quiet space with low light for shampoos during the cut your asked if its going the way you would like it dont be afraid to be specific and articulate and you will come out well the stylists are in addition pleasant conversationalist I like this place alot and plan on continuing to go read more

Around here, salons are a dime a dozen; one can hardly turn a corner without running into one. Somehow, despite this, there are very few that are worth their salt, and even fewer that I could feel good about recommending. Evolve is far and away the exception to this. It's a salon done right in every aspect. This is the first salon that I have found that truly has customer service down. I never feel intimidated when I walk in the door; everyone is professional and friendly. This is one of the biggest pluses for me, and I would probably return on that point alone. But I've never had a bad cut here, and in fact, have learned more about how to manage my hair in the last two years going here than I had anywhere else. They also helped me through all the fun of pregnancy and post-partum hair (hormones - oy!). Evolve has seriously talented staff - even the apprentice that has cut and styled my hair has been wonderful. I was really impressed with a particular interaction about a year ago. I came in for a trim and was interested in a Brazilian blowout. The owner (who also is also what I guess you would call the lead stylist and educator) explained how it worked and said that while they WILL do it, he doesn't really promote it because of how toxic it is. This is huge, considering that Brazilian blow outs are a huge money-maker. Not two weeks after that conversation, there was an investigative report on TV that showed salons either lying about the dangers of the treatment, or oblivious to them. Needless to say, I was really impressed with the integrity and concern for the client displayed by Evolve. To top it off, the salon has a zero carbon footprint. How cool is that?! So, it's a place that you can go to, get pampered a bit, and feel good about it. Highly, highly recommend! read more
