I was a patient of Dr. Cucherall for 21 years. Due to my autoimmune issues, I saw countless…read morespecialists in NYC, Florida, and Boston but always returned to Cucherall because he was the BEST. He was compassionate and never gave up trying to find the root cause of my immune issues. By far the best doctor, and I am blessed I was a patient for so long. He found health problems other doctors didn't see. NEW DOCTOR AT HIS OFFICE IS A JOKE.

I've never before encountered such a brilliant, knowlegable, kind, and compassionate doctor with a…read morethirst for continued learning. Dr. Cuchural is an infectious diseases doctor and also a primary care doctor. I have been a medical puzzle for years and Dr. Cuchural found things that other doctors haven't even heard of let alone tested me for! I am so thankful to have answers. Dr. Cuchural often works very late into the night because unlike other doctors, he spends as much time with a patient as he or she needs. He doesn't rush or cut appointments short and genuinely cares for his patients. If you stump him with a question, he will pull all of his electronic gadgets out and look up the answer for you. He fits patients in last minute even if it means he has to stay even later. He has the most wonderful bedside manner, which is imperative to me because I have severe anxiety. Julie, the nurse, is just as amazing. She is has a dry sense of humor and is absolutely hysterical, which helps when I'm feeling particularly anxious or overwhelemed from medical issues. I have literally walked in there crying many times and come out smiling. It's always a pleasure seeing her. I feel incredibly blessed to have been referred to Dr. Cuchural's office and hope that this review reaches someone else he may be able to help.

My children were patients of Dr Healey since my son (who is now 8) was 7 months old. We were very…read morehappy at the office, until we had an emergency situation. My son was diagnosed with strep throat on a Monday, his fevers were not going down (103-104)- I called the office numerous times from Monday evening to Wednesday early morning- and was told it was normal & to call again Thursday if he wasn't better. I told Healey he wasn't himself, lethargic, not peeing & high fevers- also vomit ting & had a swollen gland. She continued to tell me it was normal seeing he just got on a RX. On Wednesday of the same week when he woke up his neck was completely swollen & his fever read 106! When I called the office asap they had me go into the office. I carried him into the office- and he started to fall asleep on the table- I ran & got a nurse & told them his eyes were not normal- they ran right in & cooled him down. The doctor on sent us to SS Hospital right away. I carried my son out of the office...they never offered an ambulance. I wasn't in the right state of mind to even think of asking for one- but after I thought of it, they should have had one waiting for me. I went to SSH and was sent via ambulance to Children's Boston. They informed me that they told Healey's office that we were being admitted to Children's. I spent 8 horrendous days at Children's with my son without 1 call from Healey or even the office checking up on my son. He was discharged after 8 long days half of them being spent up in the ICU- he ended up with toxic shock syndrome. Never once did I receive a phone call from the office. When I called her office the day before we left the hospital, Healey told me she apologized but she was "off" over the weekend & was just getting back to her work. I was appalled. I feel that I need to get my horrifying experience with her & her office out there. I would never want to know this could ever happen to another child. It was the worst experience of my child & my husband & I's life.

It felt weirdly judgemental and exclusive, maybe even discriminatory (?) how she continued to deny us and question our life plans to determine if we are legitimate and will be able to meet with her as PCP on an annual basis. Almost pleading, I explained that both my husband's parents and my parents live in Hingham, that we grew up here and actively live here, and that we will be more than able to meet with her every year for an annual check up as we are explicitly and exclusively Hingham-based...I explained that the only issue is that we are leaving town in a month (for the summer) and are hoping to get an appointment in with her before our departure. She refused us an appointment because she was stuck on the idea that we are relocating for the summer and may never come back?? (I know my Yelp profile says I am based in San Fran...never been there in my life, just tried to fix the setting and don't know why it says that lol). I was compassionate towards her secretary who had to be the middle-man through this whole unkind interaction, parroting Dr. Niklas' withholding and illogical reasoning, but, after growing up in this town and seeing its darker sides (classist, discriminatory), this felt reminiscent and very "Hingham" (in a pejorative sense). And I say this as a bread-and-butter Hinghamite lol. Any way, it was incredibly bad vibes, but even beyond that, just kind of dumb. Like there was no critical thinking on her part or willingness to hear us and update her understanding when I tried to explain our situation (mind you--why am I having to explain so much of my life plans to a Karen with a Doctorate???) Good luck!
