There are signs with QR codes everywhere that will take you to a website to pay online. There are also some kiosks, in case you don't want to use your phone. Once you've paid for your parking, you have 20 minutes to exit.

We were able to sample truffles and chocolate bars and it was probably the best tasting chocolate we've ever had. We also stopped in to Coach and I ended up buying my daughter a cute, Coach bag. With stores like Zara, Fabletics, Alo, Louis Vuitton and Nordstrom, you truly get a great, shopping experience at this mall; there's something here for everyone. There's also ample seating as well. I came to enjoy dinner at their Food Bazaar food court followed by a classic Motown Revue concert performed by a cover group called Motor City in their Halsted Ballroom. I learned this hotel-casino is owned by a group called the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and they own other properties mainly in AL and FL apparently as well as a few properties overseas. I will review their food court separately under the Food Bazaar Yelp page. Before eating, we walked about the premises. A lot of the space is dedicated to slot machines. They have the usual blackjack, baccarat, and craps tables, a sports betting room, and a smallish 10 table poker room. Other restaurants in the casino, not counting the food court eateries, include the Ivory Noodle Bar, Shuck It Oyster Bar, and The Spot American Diner. As far as the Motown Revue concert, I'll also go with a 3.49 star rating. The Halsted Ballroom has a stated capacity of 800 but we counted 552 seats. It was a comfortable setup albeit loud as the music was contained in a ballroom as opposed to an auditorium setup. The cover band and performers did a nice and entertaining job covering a lot of the classic hits from the Motown era. The performers covered hits by the Supremes, the Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, and the Temptations. It was an entertaining and reminiscent evening for those of us who grew up in the 60's with this music.

We received an email before our visit asking if we would be able to switch our 10:30 appointments to 8:00 am or 11:45 am to accommodate another guest interested in services. Since we were visiting from out of town and had other plans, we were not able to switch to these times but eventually agreed to move to 9:15 even though it was not our preferred time. The attendants upon arrival were very friendly and welcoming. The eucalyptus steam sauna was closed for repair, which was not indicated when we booked. The dry sauna and hot tub were very small. As the morning went on it got incredibly busy. There were so many people waiting for appointments that there weren't enough chairs in the relaxation room, and it was very crowded by the vanity/mirrors and showers. Our treatments we good, not spectacular for the cost, but we expected expensive treatments on a busy weekend in Chicago. We were offered complimentary enhancements for switching appointment times-a face mask or eye mask. A nice touch but not nearly worth switching our plans around for. We had separate reservations to begin with but somehow when we were asked to move our reservation times, we were put on the same reservation. As a result, I was charged for my friend's service. We each made multiple calls to the spa to try to get it corrected. After at least four attempts to get it corrected over the phone, I emailed the spa. It took 8 days from when we were at the spa for them to begin processing a refund to my card. We were very surprised by all of this, especially at such a luxury spa.
