If I could award six stars for this amazing store, I would…read more I have switched most of my wardrobe to the Billy Reid brand. It is timeless, well constructed, durable yet attention grabbing clothing. What keeps me going back is the incredible service. Impeccable and so genuine. Every time I go in, I am greeted with familiarity and warmth. I end up just standing and chatting with these fine people more than shopping sometimes. They stand behind the quality of their goods. Case in point: I bought a wool blend hoodie last year. I wore it to Iceland over the summer then I wore it once during a cold streak and the seam on the back ripped. They quickly sent it to a tailor and had it repaired in no time, no questions asked. I also have noticed they are starting to make more and more of their duds in the United States (great ethos). Their price points are on the high side but you get what you pay for. I have shirts from 8-9 years ago that are still in style and are on excellent shape after multiple washings. Check this place out when you are in town. Well worth the visit. You will become hooked.

We went back the next day and when we came in he remembered my name and things we had talked about. He suggested a few things, styling etc. never pushy. He is a standout salesman.

Hampden is EXTRA…read more The store is packed with beautiful clothes and just when you think you've reached the end of it, another room opens up. Signs point you in the direction of "don't give up now- there's more stuff around this corner!" It's endless! The staff is beyond friendly. Every room I entered another person offered to help me find something, get me a drink (a drink?!), and even enthusiastically let me use the bathroom. People in Charleston are nice, but maybe this is where they hoard the nicest people in town and keep them all in one place to help outfit your wardrobe? I even got a very boisterous compliment while descending the stairs from a stranger saying how incredibly stylish I was. My first thought as a New Yorker was, "I don't know you and I think you think I'm somebody else". But no, it was just the owner saying hello and making me feel good, as I discovered in the many press tear outs as I left the store. Oh and the snacks. There are snacks. And champagne. I don't know if this is just a Friday thing or if this could also be like an everyday thing, but there were legit snacks and drinks for whatever reason as I shopped. And I loved every second of it. Oh and the shoes are good. Like real good.

Really attentive and helpful staff plus tailoring option. There are usually more sizes in the back…read more- that's the key! High end fashion (think vogue features but actual ready to wear) and shoes, but then mid price-point sunglasses. Only saw Marni bags, so maybe that's a thing there. Also there is a parking lot in the back!
