I have mixed reviews about this place. Still learning the experience of fine cigar smoking, and…read morebeing from the states, I wanted to pick up some quality cigars (mostly Cubans of course) during my last visit. The store is in a heavy foot traffic area and it appears to get more cigarette shoppers stopping by than anything. The cigar selection was off to the side and not as big as others I've seen. I headed to the cigars and eventually was asked for help. After describing my newness to cigar smoking and a few things I'm looking for, I was given a piece of paper showing their selection. Asking for Montecristo N 2, he said there weren't any available - although later they became available after I started getting many and seeing that I was going to spend some money. Also, they eventually started going around the corner to get different brands and (I assume) better quality sticks. I ended up getting 9 different types and over $800 euro worth. Mainly because the 2 younger gentlemen that worked with me were very patient, respectful and helpful. Towards the end, an older gentlemen (owner maybe?) started helping count and tag the sale. When the younger man ran my credit card, it was declined and the old man walked away mumbling something about "over the limit". A bit insulting. Chase seems to do this to prevent fraud (even though I let them know I'm travelling to specific countries), and an email soon came asking me to validate the purchase and re-run the transaction. I need to remember to just use AmEx. The younger gentleman understood that when I explained it and has apparently dealt with customers from the states before. He threw in some extras for me (no humidity packs for travel though) and I was on my way. Albeit with a mediocre taste in my mouth. They may have a basement or other area, but I didn't see it. As I said, it appears to have more of a "strip mall" feel to it and not really catered to the cigar smokers. No walk-in humidor. I wouldn't advise against going here, but I would also recommend checking out other places if possible.
