"Everyone is dead but us" is a monumental sculpture near the medieval church that survived the blitz in World War II in Rotterdam.
It consists of two elegantly turned in aluminum feet. The feet mark the spot where a medieval market once stood.
Little Dancer of Fourteen Years by Edgar Degas served as the model for the dance like position of the feet. The oversized feet serve as a reminder how the past, the present and the future are intertwined.
A very interesting sculpture that we found during our Free Walking Tour Rotterdam. read more
