In December of 2021 I moved into a converted warehouse loft-style apartment that was absolutely gorgeous and designed beautifully - Downtown Village on Montgomery St. in Middletown - touted as high end, luxury loft Iiving in Middletown. Not so much. I moved my 90 year old mother in with me and the owner and staff were welcoming, helpful and seemed to really care. Almost immediately, mold and dampness appeared on the walls and floor in my mother's bedroom, living room and front closet. It became a huge and ongoing problem. They attempted to get rid of it multiple times, a professional inspector was called in, but within days of their attempts, the mold and dampness was back. I had to move my poor mom, on oxygen, into the living room, as far away from the wet, moldy walls as possible. We lived with this mold (As did the other tenants on my ground floor) the entire 7 months I was there (Mom sadly passed 3 months after her moving in.) I basically had no choice but to move not to be exposed to this health hazard. The mold destroyed leather bags, coats, clothing, books, and worst of all, some of my mom's original artwork. No restitution was offered whatsoever, and two letters with photos of the mold and damage were comepletely ignored by the landlord, Sal Vasapolli. I honestly thought I was dealing with a different person who truly cared but I was mistaken. BE AWARE and know who you are dealing with and where you are going - especially when loved ones are invloved.

Today my neighbor's entire bathtub drained onto my computer desk, so I guess they just didn't want to fix it. During a winter warning, it took over 24 hours on a workday to be able to move my car out of the parking lot. My neighbors scream constantly. Their family honks their horn at my window so they can scream at each other from the balcony. A man in socks came to my door asking if he could pay me to pretend to be his uncle. I have been scammed my the utilities representatives they have sent to our doors twice. This apartment is a nightmare.
