Estate Lawn Services had cut the grass and low hanging tree branches on my elderly fathers property…read morefor many years but I relocated here to look after him and found that they had been dumping the cut tree branches in the creek that runs through his property. M father was almost 90 at the time and had no idea they were doing this as he was not able to go down to the creek. Apparently they had been doing it for quite some time there was a dam-like pile of tree branches, causing the water to back up and become rancid and not flow freely. This also caused a drainage problem below the pile of tree branches as it had turned that area into a muddy marsh-like area that still exists to this day. When I had confronted the owner, Aaron, about these branches he admitted that he did it and his excuse was that "it was my bad". I insisted he remove all the branches and although he removed some of them, the bulk of them remained in the creek as they had sunk down from the weight and were embedded in the mud. He refused to go into the creek and pull the embedded ones out. All of this could have been avoided if Aaron had hauled away the cut tree branches as he should have instead of dumping them in our creek. I still can't believe he did this instead of hauling them away. I suppose he would had to dump them somewhere and didn't want to take the time. I have plenty of photos of what he did and would certainly not recommend this company!

We had a terrific experience with Landcare Landscape (full name Landcare Property Maintenance) of…read moreBerryville. We called the proprietor, Joe Packard, and asked him to give us an estimate. He came by the next day, discussed our plans and made helpful suggestions about the trees, shrubs and plants they would install. Later that same night, he sent us a fully itemized estimate specifying the type and number of plants and the cost for each type of plant so we could decide whether to eliminate more costly items. His professional approach and reasonable prices sealed the deal. Joe and his crew of 6 workers arrived on time. They removed large amounts of turf to create several large planting beds, trimmed every shrub and small tree around the house, removed weeds growing between patio pavers, planted two large trees, 10 miscanthus grass plants and a number of perennials, repositioned two larger grass plants to create a symmetrical arrangement with the new grasses, cleared out old mulch and debris, edged the beds and laid down new mulch, added fill dirt on one side of the house to improve drainage, and a number of other things. All of this was done on a hot, humid day and Joe's crew finished the work in 9 hours. The result was a beautifully landscaped yard that combined our ideas and Joe's recommendations in a very pleasing way. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and recommend Landcare Landscape very strongly.

Recent core aeration, top dressing and overseeding of an established lawn in relatively poor shape…read more I selected these guys because they had done several similar yards in my neighborhood. I have no issue with the aeration and overseeding but the topdressing using supposeg composted material was made up of a large amount of rather unpleasant smelling manure that had mot composted long enough or properly. i am now left with a yard loaded with clumps of manure that i am hoping will deteriorate rapidly. Rep at the company said nothing they could do at this point so i am just gonna suck it up and pray for rain and snow.BTW THE topdressing used on my neighbors properties looked great and actually resembled nice rich topsoil. So if you use their service beware and look at the product before they put it down or at least take a whiff of it.

Patrick showed up as scheduled and provided estimates on the spot. He and his crew have been faithfully showing up every two weeks since that time to mow, trim, and blow the grassy areas of the property. His prices are amazing for a mowing job that takes a 2 or 3 person crew over 3hrs to complete. Can't say enough good things. You won't be disappointed if you put your trust in Jackson Creek Property Services. They go above and beyond.

Close to a year ago, I had an eighty foot poplar tree fall on the roof of my house. I live in a…read morewooded area, so the acre lot upon which my house resides has all sorts of trees. After the tree impact, clearing out the problematic trees has obviously been a high priority. During the process, I worked with three companies. Of these, Smitty's Tree Service was, by far, the best. The two trees that he took down for me were the most problematic and complicated of any on my property--big, few limbs to work with, and very close to the house. Tony's service was, by far, the most professional, and ironically, also the least expensive of any other company I'd worked with. He took down the problematic trees swiftly and cleanly--felling them in exactly the direction and at exactly the place he said he would. Communication is great. Prices simply cannot be beat (he handled the two hardest trees for a fraction of the price that others had quoted for simply ONE tree). He is insured and has a catalog of great references. If you need tree work done in Front Royal, Linden, or elsewhere in Northern Virginia, I cannot recommend anyone higher than Smitty's Tree Service.

Nate was very easy to work with, he promised work to be finished by 2:30 the next day (which he beat by over 2 hours!), his team got very positive reviews from a handful of visiting friends and family I had helping prep my house, and he was extremely flexible and relaxed about invoicing. The cost for the work (front/back yard mowing and weed whacking) was very reasonable, less than I had anticipated when I started calling around, and the quality was excellent- not a spot untouched, clippings removed, no damage to home or lawn. I intend to keep this phone number on hand and will be recommending them to anyone who needs lawn care.
