The festival outgrew this area (which has been going strong since 1988) known as - Waterfront Park over time & definitely needed a bigger host venue. Enter Coquitlam Towne Centre Park - Lafarge Lake - to the rescue since 2022. It's a lively festival with Caribbean music & food as well as plenty of fun for kids on a much larger venue site than was previously held on. It's a time to meet old friends you haven't seen in months or years, chill out to the music & eat some great Caribbean food. If you don't want to drive out here, get on the Millennium Line Skytrain & get off at Lafarge Station. The only real challenge for this festival is that it's at least an hour from Vancouver to get here but nonetheless, the fun, food & entertainment are worth the trip.
