At no point did anyone explain how their scheduling works, that offices operate independently, or that doctors are independent providers. I was eventually rescheduled at the Laguna Hills location. When I arrived, the receptionist was unfriendly and immediately informed me of a $99 consultation fee. I had no issue paying this fee, had it been disclosed beforehand--which it was not. When I raised this concern, I was told that the doctor I paid the consultation fee for would be the only doctor who could treat me if I moved forward. If our personalities or approach did not align, I would be required to pay an additional consultation fee to see another doctor. That is an unacceptable business practice. To make matters worse, I was told that the person responsible for explaining financing and costs would not be available for another day or two, meaning I could not even receive a proper quote during my visit. I intentionally carved time out of my busy schedule for what is a very emotional and important decision in my life, only to leave feeling frustrated, disappointed, and misled. I will not be returning to this facility or any of its affiliates, and I would strongly caution others to be very clear about fees, scheduling, and expectations before booking an appointment.

After 5 years of trying to get pregnant, multiple doctors, 2 egg retrievals, and 4 failed transfers, I came to Dr. Bryan Acacio with unexplained infertility and very little hope. From our first consult, Dr. Acacio truly listened. I suspected endometriosis, which previous doctors dismissed, but he insisted on surgery and found stage 2 endo. He also ran an autoimmune panel that revealed genetic variations affecting implantation testing my prior doctors never pursued. He immediately recommended PGT testing, which finally gave us answers. He also listened to my concerns about timing during retrieval. This time, we waited one extra day--and the results were life-changing: 11 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 7 blasts, and 5 genetically normal embryos. In November, we transferred two embryos. Rather than advising me of the upcoming closure, the staff took down my information and told me I would be contacted in January when their schedule "opens up." This was misleading and unprofessional. If an office knows it is shutting down, that information should be communicated transparently during the initial call. Instead, I was given false expectations and wasted time based on information that was not accurate. I find this type of business practice concerning. If something as basic as an office closure is not communicated honestly, it raises questions about what else may not be handled with transparency. I would not recommend this office.

After 3 failed cycles, my husband and I decided to change fertility clinics and received a…read morerecommendation to check out RISE. Needless to say, it was one of the best decisions we have ever made! During our initial consultation with Dr. Ghazal, we could tell that her approach was very different than most fertility doctors. We had two embryos remaining from my retrieval at my prior clinic, and wanted to transfer one of those embryos. During a consultation with another clinic, we were told by the doctor that he "would never use" the remaining embryos due to their grading. Dr. Ghazal disagreed with that approach. When we asked what medicine regimen Dr. Ghazal would use, she advised us that she needed to invest time reviewing my medical records to come up with a personalized recommendation. She would not utilize a cookie-cutter "one size fits all" approach like most fertility doctors seem to do. Dr. Ghazal then prepared a detailed plan to use an "modified natural cycle," which involved less medication than I had to take during my failed cycles. That plan also required more doctor visits to monitor my ovulation cycle. Dr. Ghazal was very dedicated to our cause that she opened the office for appointments on weekends and offered to schedule my FET on Thanksgiving if necessary. She was also was able to identify a medical condition that very likely caused my prior failed cycles and easily fixed the issue. Dr. Ghazal is someone whose brain seems to operate on a wholly different wavelength. She is knowledgeable while remaining humble, able to listen to her patients' needs, very empathetic to our concerns, and cheered us on throughout the cycle. Needless to say, her bedside manner is top-notch. Beyond the doctor, the staff at RISE is the best we have encountered in any medical practice. I was fortunate to work with Laura (RN). Laura has extensive medical training and was well equipped in answering my questions. By contrast, the coordinators at my previous clinic seemed to have little training, and merely acted as messengers for the doctors. Laura was also extremely responsive to my emails and phone calls (even at odd hours or on weekends) and was also personable at appointments. Crucially, Laura was also helpful in assisting us with transporting our embryos from my prior clinic to RISE. The RISE team (Allie, Angie, Heidi, Krystal, and Molly) were exceptional to work with! They genuinely became family throughout the process. A little less than a year after our initial consultation with Dr. Ghazal, I gave birth to our second child! As she lays in my arms, all I can think is how grateful I am that we chose to transfer our little "embryo that could" with Dr. Ghazal!

Traditional docs had told me there was nothing to do anymore. From the first visit, she listened to everything I had to say and examined me, then we immediately began treatment. She estimated 2-3 months minimum of treatment before Id be better, and she's consistently checked in on progress and made modifications as needed. I felt better in a week, and could see/feel even more results within the first month. 4 months later and I am baffled at the results. My quality of life has *massively* improved and its all thanks to her. She has a wonderful, kind bedside manner that makes you feel at ease, heard, and taken care of. Since starting acupuncture in January 2026 I have not had a migraine since. I've had some mild headaches here and there (days I forgot to drink enough water, or ate garbage), but not my dreaded 3-4 day stuck in bed with all the lights off migraine terror. It's really been amazing. I'm now working with Dr. Zhao on all the other issues I've ignored for so long. The weird tennis elbow/carpal tunnel pain, insomnia, the random chronic things that I just learned to live in pain with. For new patients, you will go into a consultation and then almost seamlessly transition right in to treatment. So a consultation lasts like maybe 10-15 minutes and then the acupuncture (depending on what you have going on) may take 45 minutes. If you just want the consultation, no treatment, you will need to be very clear about this. Dr. Zhao is ready to work, so if you do NOT want treatment you'll need to speak up. My insurance unfortunately does not cover acupuncture ( I have an HSA) so I pay about $185 for cupping and acupuncture per session. I know with other insurance it would be about $15 co-pay. I recommend Dr. Zhao to everyone.

First, when our medication was shipped to the office, they failed to provide an ice pack for a time-sensitive medication that required refrigeration. As a result, it was left at room temperature for hours, potentially compromising its effectiveness. Second, they did not thoroughly check the medication package and missed including the crucial trigger shot. I had to rush to the office at 8:30pm to get an emergency replacement-over an hour later than the correct injection time. Even more alarming, they messed up our email address and sent sensitive medical information, including my ID, to the wrong recipient, violating HIPAA regulations. This was a serious breach of privacy and trust. Additionally, an intern nurse attempted to draw my blood but had difficulty locating my vein. After two unsuccessful and painful attempts, the process had to be restarted by someone else. It made me question the level of training and oversight in the office. Despite two failed IVF rounds, Dr. Meng told us she wouldn't change anything about the protocol. There was no openness to reevaluating or adjusting the plan based on our results, which felt dismissive and discouraging. I rarely leave reviews, but I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision. Fertility treatment is stressful and emotional enough-patients deserve a team that is organized, responsive, and respectful of their time, health, and privacy.

Our daughter and her husband have been trying for over 4 years to have a baby. From the first consultation, we knew if anyone could make their dream come true it would be Dr. Werlin. His wisdom and they way he explains everything was amazing! Besides being amazing, Dr. Werlin starts seeing patients at 6:30am which is so great. Going through IVF is a long process, our daughter never had to miss work or go in late because of the early appointments. That really took a lot of stress off of trying to juggle work and appointments. I was blessed as the future Grandma to be aIble to go to most off her appointments and embryo transfer procedures. This was beyond amazing for me. It was also a comfort for our daughter for me to be there with her. She really needed and wanted the moral support after so many years of trying to become a Mom. It was always so much fun to be in the exam room and hearing Dr. Werlin walking down the hall to see us and hearing "Where is my Kel-Bell (his nickname for her) and Mom?" or to hear him singing along to the great music playing in his office. Another great thing that Dr. Werlin does, is that he was ALWAYS the one calling with the lab reports/results where as so many other doctors hand that task off to an assistant/nurse. His personal touch was always so much appreciated. Especially the phone call on 6/21/2021 when he called our daughter.... that is a moment in time that we will never forget. My husband and I were at our daughter and Son-In-Laws house when the phone call came in from Dr. Werlin and his staff when they all yelled at the same time "YOU'RE PREGNANT" we all broke into tears. That's a moment that we will NEVER forget. I've already started our Grandsons baby book with a photo of each ultrasound along with any info that Dr. Werlin gave us during the appointments. Of course, Dr. Werlin is on the 1st page so our Grandson will know what incredible man helped to bring him into our family. The ONLY negative thing that we can say is.... we wish he could be her OB/GYN and carry her through her entire pregnancy and deliver our grandson too. We cannot think of a nicer doctor to see her through the whole pregnancy. It was a bittersweet day at 12 weeks when she "graduated" from his office. My truthful experience…read more.. I started this process in approx. March 2022 ended in approx. May 2022 I chose this facility with the hopes of getting pregnant at 41. I chose the $8000 package which essentially turned out to be approximately $14,000 minus $3000 which they were willing to give me back. Each appointment was scheduled in the morning some at 7:20 am and after driving for approximately an hour and 15 minutes a few times only to find that twice it wasn't open, yet waiting in my car until 8:00 am. Communication could and should be WAY better. More follow-up calls are needed, and more patient checks to see how we are doing and if we have questions. (I had none from anyone but the Dr. for a total of four calls) Most of the time the Dr. called with lab results or I called or emailed questions. It takes forever to get a response. I had several ultrasounds and vaginal ultrasounds at this facility. Approx. on the third ultrasound, the Dr. says you might have fibroids. I ask him if I need to go to my primary care Dr. to get this checked before we start anything, the Dr. says "no we can handle that here, don't worry". I had to call several times to find out what the next steps were. I was then called by the financial department representative stating that I needed a cryo test which was approx. $600 and not included in the package for IVF. I paid for it and did the test, the results were good to go. I was then told that the Dr. was placing me on birth control for seven days. I was asked to do another vaginal ultrasound and on that day told that the Dr. was going on vacation soon. I started the birth control and continued office visits with two other Dr.'s as I was leaving I was told I needed to pay approx. 200 for the visit. I paid it as no one told me when I would pay the 8,000. I received a call from the financial department requesting the 8,000 payment. I asked if the $200 would be deducted they said no and I paid the 8,000. I was told before the Dr. left for vacation I was "good to go" and everything looked great. I at that point had several vaginal ultrasounds, and good blood work along with the dye test for my tubes which was done at another facility through my network, and both tubes were open. I was then told to purchase the 6,000 meds. I purchased them. I was given a 10-minute class on how to use them and sent videos. I started meds and was told I would be on them for approx. 11 days then my egg retrieval. By this time I had spent the aprx. $14,000. When the Dr. returned from vacation I did my last ultrasound before retrieval and was told while naked on the table, "I can't do the retrieval you have too many fibroids that need to be removed". I cried like a baby whose world had been snatched away. The Dr. said "I know I know I am sorry but we can do an IUI. At this point, all types of things were in my head, so I agreed because I felt there was still hope. On the day of the IUI the assistant gives the Dr. the wrong size clamps three times meanwhile I am laying there naked, sperm thawed waiting, and finally had an unsuccessful IUI. I then I get the bills and reimbursement email...I got 3,000 of my 14,000 and an IUI that was unsuccessful lost time and emotionally drained. They email me an itemized total and I see $1500 for a 10-minute IVF meds class WTH. By this time I felt swindled and taken advantage of. Everyone is nice until you start requesting money back and explanations. I requested my complete medical file two weeks ago and still have not received it, then I called and the response was "we are extremely busy and the regular office clerk is on vacation I am doing what I can, we will get it out to you". I basically took meds for IVF for no reason (waisted $6000) and paid 5000 for an IUI. I wasn't going to leave a review but I was encouraged to do so in the event someone need this message.

IVF is a time consuming journey but I'm so lucky to get pregnant after 1 round of egg retrieval and 1 transfer. Envita's amazing team made this happen. Dr. Abae is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and caring. He never rushed any of my appointments and does not use "one size fit all" protocol which I'm very grateful for. He always takes time to read and analyze every test result, do each of my ultrasound, and answer all of our questions very thoroughly. He makes sure everything is perfect before diving into the next step and no wonder they have such good success rates :) The lab team is also so nice and experienced, Dr. Asemi was able to fertilize 9 high-grade embryos for us despite my low egg quality due to PCOS. She also patiently answered tons of questions before we chose the embryo. The nurses (Maria and Liz) are both so supportive and welcoming the whole time, making me feel much less anxious during the IVF treatment. They even have a direct line which patients could call them for any questions after work hours. I can't appreciate them more. Last but definitely not least, thanks to my awesome coordinator Becky and the office manager Minyi, they are angels! I could have never completed this journey without them. They always check on me after each appointment, making sure I'm feeling okay. They also gave me the biggest emotional support after egg retrieval and transfer. Sherrie is not my coordinator but she's also very friendly and always chat with me to make me less nervous before appointments. Throughout the process, I felt like I was just another number. There was a serious lack of personalized care, and I often left appointments with more questions than answers. I followed every instruction, every protocol, and trusted the process, but it felt like no one was really invested in my individual journey or well-being. To make matters worse, the treatments took a huge toll on my health. I gained a lot of weight, my hormones have been completely out of balance, and I've never felt this unhealthy--physically or emotionally. Infertility is already such a painful road, and I truly wish I had received more thoughtful care and honest communication throughout. I hope others have a better experience, but I wouldn't recommend this clinic based on what I went through.
