I hired Julie and Eventfully Yours (EY) for my wedding planning and coordination, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and deeply disappointing.
From the beginning, communication was a nightmare. Despite repeated promises to schedule meetings, they continuously delayed, claiming they had been contacting the wrong number--a mistake that should have been resolved immediately. Mistakes like these set the tone for the rest of the process. For instance, they sent my save-the-dates to the wrong guest list, creating confusion and unnecessary stress for my family and me. A task as straightforward as this should have been handled with precision, yet they failed to execute it correctly.
I also provided detailed inspiration photos for my bridal bouquet and explicitly requested to approve it before my photos. Despite my clear instructions, they never followed up, and the final product didn't reflect my vision at all.
As a full-service planning team, I expected them to take responsibility for coordinating vendors and adhering to deadlines, but they fell short. I was told a final vendor meeting would be scheduled, yet it never happened, with no explanation or apology. Deadlines for crucial tasks like finalizing floral orders were completely neglected. While they provided good vendor recommendations, their lack of follow-through made the process far more stressful than it needed to be.
I voiced my frustrations to Julie multiple times, emphasizing that the core issue was the lack of communication, not the mistakes themselves. By the time they did address anything, it was often too late to fix the problem. Their repeated failure to communicate eroded my trust entirely.
The most egregious failure came on my wedding day. Julie had assured me and my mother that she would personally be present, especially since I was the first client to book my date. This commitment played a significant role in my choice of venue and date. Even during our final meeting, she confirmed she would be there. Yet on the morning of my wedding, she texted me to say she wouldn't attend because she was prioritizing another event. Her last-minute decision to send an apology text instead of honoring her word was beyond unprofessional and left me feeling abandoned on one of the most important days of my life.
I hired EY specifically to reduce stress and ensure a smooth wedding experience. Instead, the bulk of my stress stemmed directly from their disorganization and lack of accountability. While they were pleasant when prompted, that is not enough when you're paying for a professional, full-service planning team.
To their credit, my wedding was beautiful--but I can't help but feel that I could have achieved the same result on my own, saving thousands of dollars and avoiding the stress they caused.
Even if Julie and her team offered an apology now, I would never recommend their services. It's also worth noting that EY has a reputation for hiding or deleting critical reviews, which I find extremely concerning. Transparency is crucial in any business, and potential clients deserve to know what they're signing up for.
This review is to provide an honest account of my experience. I hope it serves as both a caution to potential clients and constructive feedback for the EY team. Until they address their organizational failures, lack of communication, and disregard for client trust, I cannot recommend their services. read more
